November Challenge

I love a good monthly challenge.

A lot of red this month, mostly due to snacking or grazing. I got the official mono/EBV diagnosis the day before Thanksgiving so I am out of it—a lot of eating leftovers from the freezer when I have the energy to push buttons on the microwave.

I’m in! Nov 2 will be my start day. I’m currently at a great weight doing a non strict no s, but I wanted to tighten up the reigns as the holidays approach. My husband will be out of town much of the month and sometimes that triggers nighttime eating! I’ve somehow pick up a slight addiction to banana chips!!!! I also will be using my 3 meal a day everyday mod.

I'm in too! Working on afternoon and evening no snacks and at least 15 min exercise every day. Nov 1 didn't start off well but hopefuly Nov 2 and following will be better.

Goal No snacks afternoon & evening + min 15 min exercise
1: RED RED GREEN
2: RED RED RED Not a good day :(
3: RED RED RED Not off to a good start :(
4: SATURDAY
5: SUNDAY
6: GREEN GREEN GREEN First green day for 3 goals! :)
7: RED RED GREEN
8: RED RED GREEN the reds weren't horrible though
9: RED RED GREEN Having trouble with the snacks (they're not horribly out of control like I do sometimes but they're still there). At least I've been exercising.
10: horrible food day all around and no exercise :oops:
11: Saturday
12: Sunday

I'm going to give it another week on the November challenge and hopefully do better. Making a little change here. I already track exercise somewhere else so here it will be just for no snacks. I like the calendar format I see some people use so will try that.

Selcazare, how did you get that calendar into your post? I've given up posting on previous challenges because I find it difficult to post as the month goes on.

Thanks, I've missed our monthly challenge the last month or two! It's nice to check in. I think this is what my month will look like. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is always a hard one food-wise because the family gathers then too, but I'm trying for an N day that day. I'm pretty sure the rest of the long weekend will be S's! But...we'll see. Maybe I can hold one of those days to just having an S event instead of a full S day?!

red red red red red Can't even keep track. I who kept harping on how I needed to be in training for the holidays. Aack! I'm going to a weeklong retreat at which there will be a potluck lunch and dinner and a snack table all day. I haven't done as well as I would have liked in the past. We shall see.

I am totally out of the "tracking" habit. Doing okay weight-wise, and don't think eating is totally out of control... But I know my habits are not as strong as I would like.

One option would be to resurrect my daily thread, but I'm kind of resistant to that. (Not sure why...)

Will think on it, and decide in a week.

I hear ya--my long Thanksgiving weekend was definitely not the moderate "enjoy but don't go all out" I thought it might be! It's like thinking that makes my eating habits backfire! I still can't seem to moderate S days at all--aack is right!

I can't take a December like November has been. I've been brainwashing myself to some degree to get ready. It's about round 10 on that, and I am older with less time to get it right and more at stake, so I might have a chance.
