February Challenge

Are we doing a February challenge? I managed to squeeze out 67% (68 if I round up 😉 ) compliance in January. Not great but better than December's. I'm confident I can log an improvement in February.

No, planned holidays for me this month. I'm only tracking evening wine/snacking not the whole no-s shebang. January was 67% compliant but I'm confident I can get that number higher this month.

2/7 - 70% compliance.

2/5 - Husband poured and handed to me so I drank it. 😒 So totally not worth it.

2/6 - Can't blame my husband today. It was me

2/10 - movie sold out so we went out for drinks instead

2/18 - I'm back. Got distracted with other responsibilities and just couldn't face more computer time.

I'm in! Any improvement is great gingerpie :)

January's goal was to get a 21 day streak which I achieved, and I managed about 90% compliance. I want to beat my 'streak' and compliance this month! Might be a bit tricky as I have more social events this month but hoping to contain them mostly to weekends.

I'm going on holiday for a week from the 10th. I don't really want all the days to be s days, but I also don't want to be disappointed if they are. So I'm going to treat any green days in that week as a bonus.

Edit at the end of Feb: made it. Three NWS days which is a few more than I would like, and a tough week mentally after the holidays but apart from that all going well still. :)

I hope you have a great vacation! I usually find vacations are mixed for me--I have some green days but some extra S days or red days (depending on if I've used my S days for the month!) Enjoy and know that you can get back on track when you return home.

Last month I got away with only doing one NWS day, but with my son's birthday and Valentine's, I don't think that will happen this month! :mrgreen:

I'm in on the 2018 challenge - but would like to join the Feb challenge too.
Yesterday was a green - good start! Will try to work out what you are all doing with the monthly calendars, otherwise I'll give weekly summaries of my daily check-ins.
Just weighed myself - don't think I've lost in the three weeks I did no-s in Jan - but the three weekends were a bit crazy. So, my aim for Feb is to learn how to do 'nice' but moderate weekends. I do love going to bed in the week feeling that I have eaten three meals and that is all. Sometimes still feel slight panic in the mornings when I feel that 'all' I have to eat each day is three plates - but it is plenty.

Heather, I think it's a good idea to join the monthly challenges. They tend to keep the focus narrower. You can post on the yearly thread periodically. If you need more chances to ruminate more, there's always a check-in thread. But if you can get away with simplicity, mazel tov!

I'm cutting and pasting my calendar to a new post each day so I don't have to scroll up so far.

If anyone periodically just posts "Bump" to get an email update alert out, I would be very grateful. :D

February 4-11, I am coloring them red but it's mostly due to not having a plan for sick days in my modified plan. Today is the first day I've been out of bed or the bathroom all week. Crackers are my meals, except I've been eating them at all hours to fight the nausea.

I am so tempted to just call February a complete loss since I've not managed to have any green days for over two weeks, but that's not the way to do things. You run off the road into a ditch, you don't decide to stay in the ditch or go back to the beginning of your route. I am going to have a green day today (2/20) come hell or high water.

Not sure I understand your question, but pretty sure I wouldn't be able to answer it even if I did. :(

I've decided to add :!: icons for each day I exercise. I'm doing a minimum minute of resistance work a day, so they will go through weekends, if all goes well. My longest streak was nine days and the missed day on Sunday was pure memory lapse, as I walked 6.6 miles, so it wasn't as if I was a lump. But I want that muscle work and for the rest of the month! And I can do more time, of course.

Hi, Heather! TX. Have to wear my protective boot for 4-6 weeks. I've had less pain with this than with headaches I used to get. Pretty lucky.

There's a lot of sickness going around! I had horrible flu last week from Saturday to Thursday/Friday. No nausea thankfully but I had absolutely no appetite most of the time, so just allowed myself to eat what I could when I could. Sunday to Wednesday that was very little and Thursday was more back to normal. Friday I was ravenous and just ate EVERYTHING but I there was really no need other than being extra hungry as I was feeling much better, so I'm marking it red.

I'm calling today a 'near miss' - my inner toddler was definitely out and I almost caved and ate some leftover delicious chocolate I bought last weekend. Especially as my husband was sat next to me munching on sweets! :evil: Fortunately though despite his evil ways he did not enable me at all (he knows I am following NoS) so temptation was resisted.

End of the month

February is almost over - this is the last weekend of the month. I'm weighing myself once a month at the moment - to allow the systems to form. But the scales looming are focusing the mind - in a good way. Lets keep it up....and on into March. I so appreciate the control - not ending the day feeling I've nibbled and snacked is new and amazing.

NWS 2/7 had to take meds with food, timing not right to be at meal, so ate a snack.
*Have given up mod of no coffee between meals. It's too "painful" now and the benefit doesn't seem important enough right now.

*Despite broken left little toe metatarsal. Turns out there are a lot of moves I can make with no effect on my foot. So, no excuses.


2/9 started nibbling, then said I would declare NWS day for an event that night, but that was bogus because I decided after I had failed. Just using the event as an excuse. Nibbled all day. (a bit of drama)
2/12 nibbled while preparing breakfast; drank heavily doctored coffee all morning; had said I wanted to stop at 9 a.m.
2/17 funny stuff at lunch; had eaten veggie soup in anticipation of eating out with friend for dinner; she was waffling (no pun intended) so I had the few pieces of celery and an apple that I would have if there had been no dinner plan. (I thought we might be eating early.) Update: no further concerns.
2/18 snacking alone on yogurt out of the container, bites of leftover turkey also out of the container, and at least two big handfuls of unshelled peanuts eaten fast on autopilot
2/19 pancakes with syrup for breakfast, tangerine mid-morning
2/23 I said I was going to use a NWS for an evening event but then ate a couple of big bowls of cereal in the afternoon. My mod is to have S;s only in company, so this was a fail.
2/24 I won't mark an S day red, but I nibbled out of the fridge after breakfast.

Doh, fell at the last hurdle with a couple of red days to end February. Pretty sure down to poor sleep and the stress of trying to move countries. February was 73.9% compliance, onward to March!
