Late to the party! But I have been slipping of late! Seems like every 2 or 3 days, I am craving - and caving in - and wanting to eat everything in sight. (Especially sweet treats such as chocolates and cake!) Did No S sucessfully around 5 yrs ago, in fact I eventually got to the stage where I only ate 3 times a day every day, No S's at all! Lost most of my weight this way. Over the past year or two, have gained more than a few lbs due to redisovering my sweet tooth and not avoiding the WTH effect!! My goal as my signature says is to try to break this habit and I hope by allowing myself S Days or S Events on S Days, I can get back on track.

Welcome back, AB! A little curious about the green filled in for the whole month. Maybe it will be a self-fulfilling prophecy? I'd like that.

Even after all this time, I find that my desires vary over the course of weeks. I don't know why some people get into a groove and stay there: biologically, there's actually more reason for ease and resistance cycles to exist. But it's the interpretation of the resistance that I suspect makes a big difference, that is, if someone believes it should get and stay easy, it's going to be harder to take resistance in stride. If it's just considered part of the pattern, and not some personal failure, nor an excruciating burden that will always have to be borne, it's easier to minimize the "work" and maximize the benefit.

Can I join in for the rest of April - a few weeks away.
I wish I understood my waxing and waning determination more! It is high just now - so here goes! Well done to others for maintaining motivation in March - March went sideways for me. Wishing your strength in the small things.

EP, I don’t know what your S days have been like, but I see 70% compliance on N days. And you still have two weeks to raise the percentage. I hope you have lots of nights where your head hits the pillow after your having marked a green.

LOL! Love the analogy, Oolala! I had a bit of trouble re-creating the calendar, particularly the icons, so I just cut n paste as much as I could, intending to edit later. However, I kinda like the idea of having all greens in advance, maybe it will help me stick with the plan better...??

A bit of a NoS break due to a stressful life situation (basically a few weeks of fails and S days!) but back on it this week, determined to start eating sensibly again!

April is being a real struggle:
04/02 Continued Easter-size portions of everything, 2d deviled egg.
04/06 2d burrito
04/12 succumbed to dessert at a dinner meeting
04/17 UGH! Too much pizza & then bread sticks instead of carrot sticks
04/24 Legitimate S-Day, oldest son's 30th birthday. Almost got away with just a slice of birthday cake but then kept eating other Ss as well.
Glad to have this month finally over.

Oolala,
Thank you very much for the encouragement!
S Days have been so-so, not too bad.
Last Thursday & Friday felt much better, so here's hoping the SLOG is over for now...
I am definitely finding that drinking water to get me over the hump or getting more sleep helps a ton.

A crazy jag started last Friday when between breakfast and lunch, I ate free popcorn made by the Spec Ed students in my charge at my sub job. I don't like thinking that I may have set myself up by being too strict in the weeks before. I wasn't intending to be and if felt rather natural. I've relaxed my standards from Vanilla in my own mind for a few days, just glad not to be buying copious sweets after work. I've got to be mindful of where the urges are coming from. Just have to go through withdrawal again.
