joasia,

Do you want to just email me the pictures? I'm happy to post them.

reinhard.engels@gmail.com

Another option is to use a photo sharing site like flickr or something and post the links here (the img button in the message editor will display them inline if you provide an image url).

Wow, those are some impressive numbers to go with those pictures! (-91.2 pounds!)

And I see you've been on the board for 9 years now -- so also a champion by my very favorite metric!

Many congratulations and thank you for sharing your accomplishment with us here!

I hope others spend some time checking out your check-in thread for a finer grained view on just how you've been able to pull this off.

thank you Reinhard. And for all of those of you who think you can't do it. You can. It took me 9 years and 500,000 failures. or even more. and I'm still not at goal weight. but one of the most important keys is to never give up. to get back up after a failed week month months etc. there were times when no one believed in me, not even my own family and friends. when I was the only one cheering myself on. you have to be your own cheerleader. no one else will do it for you.

Thank you for the photos! You look terrific -- happy with yourself.

I clicked Reinhard's link and skimmed through your daily-ish thread. I was not prepared for how tough your journey has been (still is?).

Hat's off to you for consistently getting back on track, again and again and again -- and bravo for the results of continuing to get back on track.

I mentioned in your daily thread, what an aha-moment it was to read your post after your were a while into this (a couple of years?) that you realized you had lost 40 or 45 lbs, even though day-by-day it didn't feel like you were making progress.

Week in and week out of taking "two steps forward and one step back" IS solid progress.

Respect to you, Joasia.

Joasia,

You are one of my heroes! Thank you so much for posting your success story. It is an inspiration to me and I'm sure to many others. Going back and reading your testimonial and your daily experiences has helped me to keep going. No matter what.

So far I have lost 30 lbs. since February of this year.

Thank you again.

HotIce,

I hope you realize that your 30 pounds loss is "testimonial worthy" as well!

We'd love to see a tread here about your experience so far.

(No pressure of course!)

Reinhard,

Thank you for your comments. I will think about posting a thread about my experiences up to this point and beyond. Perhaps it was inappropriate for me to post my own information like I did on Joasia's thread and for that I apologize.

I loved what Joasia said:
"And for all of those of you who think you can't do it. You can. It took me 9 years and 500,000 failures. or even more. and I'm still not at goal weight. but one of the most important keys is to never give up. to get back up after a failed week month months etc. there were times when no one believed in me, not even my own family and friends. when I was the only one cheering myself on. you have to be your own cheerleader. no one else will do it for you."

To me that is inspiring.

Thank you again Joasia.

Not at all inappropriate!

I just think you should shout it from the rooftops! (not just here -- though here is certainly fine too).
