What Do You Drink In Bars / On Nights Out?

Post by Tombo » Tue May 08, 2018 7:01 pm

I was just wondering what do you drink when you are either in a bar or on a night out?

Particularly if it happens to be on a N day.

I don't drink alcohol but most drink choices that aren't alcohol are sugary, apart from water.

I usually stick with water or club soda with lime or lemon. I'll occasionally have unsweetened iced tea or a decaf coffee with cream. This is how I've always handled restaurant drinking, though. I grew up in a family that, unless it was a special occasion like a birthday dinner, always had water at restaurants.

I admit I made exceptions for diet drinks at bars the first few years. It's not really against the rules to have fake sweeteners, but it can extend the attachment to sweets to use them. Now, I, too, would likely get soda water or water, either with lime or lemon- and leave the bartender the tip I would for an alcoholic drink.
