Needing a snack

Post by shala_a » Thu Jun 21, 2018 3:22 pm

I wake up really early in the morning, around 5:30-6 and because of this I eat earlier all of my other meals tend to be earlier..but I don't want to eat dinner around 3 and then have nothing else till the next day. From breakfast to lunch Im fine..it's just the period between lunch and dinner that I am struggling with and feel hungry. Anybody else have this same situation?

My day starts at 5.30. I eat breakfast at 7.00 lunch at 12.00 and dinner around 6.00. I'm always hungry by my mealtimes but as time goes on cope with it better.

A cup of tea can help :)

How long is it between breakfast and lunch? And then from lunch to dinner?

I wake up early, too, often even at 4:30. Often I start with a cup of coffee with milk. Then I can wait until a bit later to eat. What time do you have to be at work? Is there no opportunity to have a little something when you get there? Maybe you could split your breakfast into two parts.

Or go ahead and have a small fourth meal between lunch and dinner. I've seen people use that and later find they can let it drop.

Hi Shala,
I try to delay breakfast if I’m up very early, and I think having it in two halves is fine as long as you’re not just having a second breakfast (like I used to do!). Then maybe use calorific drinks to help you through any other long gaps. But no doubt about it, long and busy days can be difficult. In fact I wonder if they’re one of the reasons we get into snacking habits in the first place.

Thank you everybody for the replies! Sorry I haven't gotten back to ya'll sooner! I've been experimenting and have started working out about 10-15 min after I wake up and that has helped with eating breakfast later at around 7. If If I feel like I need something in the afternoon I drink tea with almond milk :D
