Coming back to No S after years away

Post by Sammybunny711 » Tue Jul 24, 2018 11:43 pm

I did No S WAY back in the day, but never really stuck with it. SO this time, my plan is to commit hardcore. Vanilla. No modifications. Just plain, old fashioned No S. I've got about 22 pounds to lose and I want to do it with a healthy mindset. What's the longest you've done No S? I'd love to hear about longevity stories.

Welcome back! Sounds like we are in the same boat. I’ve done NoS for 5 years and loved it but fell off the wagon when I became pregnant with my first child until now which is two and a half years now. So I am doing exactly what you are doing: vanilla noS. Already I feel saner around food and I’ve only done it for a week.

Ahh, glad to see another restart! That's awesome you did it for five years! Way to go!!! I hope I'll be able to do this the rest of my life. I'm curious if my body will find a natural weight for itself doing this over time.

Welcome back. I think falling off the wagon, and re-starting NoS is closer to the norm around here. So you have a lot of company.

I got locked out of my original account, Blithe Morning. I believe my original post date from that account was 2008? I know I lurked awhile before then. For some reason late 2006 sticks in my mind.

I didn't have much to lose on No S. I drifted down about 6 or 7 lbs over the years because I added some guidelines about eating veg (some every meal) and vegetarian (no meat before 6).

When I started drinking wine nightly I drifted back up plus added little bit. I feel if I hadn't added the wine I would still be at my lowest weight but I would also have missed out on some great meals.

For reasons that don't really involve weight I have made wine an S (no sauce!). I don't know if I will lose but I doubt I will gain anymore.

I should add that I just turned 54 so No S got me through my 40's and early 50's with a healthy BMI which doesn't really mean much for health but it does mean I've stayed pretty stable.

I"m pretty sure I remember you, Blithe

I hope it's okay with you if I make a link of this to our thread "Why did you leave? Why are you back?

Here's to your reboot!

Absolutely it's ok. And for some reason I can log in under my old account on this laptop so I don't have to assume an entirely new identity.

Glad to see you back on the board.

I am another 2008 person (albeit right at the very end of 2008). We need a 10 year reunion post!

Welcome back, and good luck !

I do believe that I also joined in 2008 and had to re-register in 2010.
