Anyone doing glass ceiling?

Anyone doing glass ceiling?

Post by HappyHiker » Mon Nov 09, 2015 7:19 pm

I have decided to try glass ceiling, since I have a long history of over-imbibing. Does anyone else here use this system?

Not sure if I count, but I'm still practicing it. It's made a huge difference in my life. I have had days over the more than a decade I've been following this when I broke through the ceiling, but they've been rare, and keep getting rarer, and even then I wind up drinking far less than formerly (I record how many drinks over I go, and this exerts a pressure to keep failures contained).

Thanks for the reply, Reinhard.

It's been going far better than I expected. I have screwed it up some, but, as you say, even the days I screw up are far less severe than before.

I have kept a not-strict version of this for weeknights for awhile.

I have been thinking about it recently because I am taking a bit more of quiet turn to advent this year.

I do. Nothing on weeknights and no more than one on weekend nights. I feel waaaaay better and totally recommend it.

I'm thinking of committing to this again. I've played with it a few times but sometimes have found total abstinence easier to manage.

I'm doing it, except one day a week I get to have four drinks. Like mr. Reinhard every few months I would have a major binge episode that was embarrassing and dangerous. I hope I stick to this.

There is a huge amount of media today about the new drinking guidelines in the UK.

Even with Glass Ceiling I think I now need a few days a week with no alcohol at all

All of these can easily be targeted with those factor on terms
