In order to make my trademark lawyer happy, I've been digging through old emails and it looks like I've been off by a few months in dating when I first came up with and started no-s. I've been saying "March 2002" but it looks like that's when I first put the web site up, not when I started the diet myself, which seems to have happened in late 2001 (the domain name registration for nosdiet.com is from october 4 2001). Unfortunately I only started practicing audiodidact after no-s, so my records prior to this are a little sparse. I'm not sure if my being off by a few months is significant, but it is (slightly) inaccurate, and so in the interests of full disclosure I'm reporting it here.
Here is the first reference of any kind I can find to no s (sounds like it must have been very close to when I first came up with it):

I must have sat on the domain for months without doing anything with it (beyond practicing the diet and losing weight). My first web server logs (pitifully small) are from March 2002 and there's also an internet archive snapshot of the home page (so spartan!):

I'll be posting more fun historical tidbits to this thread as I uncover them. I wish I could find some documentation of the Eureka moment when my wife suggested the "Except on days that start with S..." to me.

Aww a widdle baby NoS page!
I just spewed out a bunch of info and my experience with (life changing!!) noSdiet on another local bulletin board.
I want a car sticker. Do you have a car sticker?
