Plateau gone!! (for now)

Post by Dawn » Thu May 15, 2008 4:59 pm

Although I do love a nice pat on the back, the main reason for this post is to assure others like me (20 or less to lose) that it will happen if you stick with it!

I just broke through my 2nd plateau since starting this in early Feb. I guess the first wasn't really a plateau, it was just the adjustment period. But it was very frustrating to me to see so many losing a nice amount right away, even if it did peter out. I didn't lose an ounce in the first 10 weeks. Tightening up across the board got me my first few pounds. Then nothing again. I really feel I am doing about the best I can do. Of course I can do more, but that would surely put me at risk of looking at this like just another diet, which of course would kill it just like all the other diets. So just waiting it out worked!!! I am down a total of 5 pounds in three months. And that's 5 pounds WITHOUT DIETING!!! About 12 more to go. I would really love to see it gone by Thanksgiving. That would be 17 pounds in 9 months. Once again: WITHOUT DIETING!

Great perseverance :)

I tend to hit plateaus for a month or more and then drop 5 or so.
Keep hanging in there!

It seems that patience is a big key in the NoS lifestyle; I have to remember that.
Thanks for the insight and congrats!.
