Spammers (you aren't welcome here!)

Post by gratefuldeb67 » Thu Apr 23, 2009 5:05 pm

Hi all, I just wanted to leave a heads up to our noble leader Reinhard, that I just got a spam message in my normal email, and they saw my email on Everydaysystems..
It was from a "Mike Ashton"

I've copied and pasted the email here so maybe you can root it out and banish them forever...
Thought I'd mention it because I assume everyone's been sent the same letter.

Have a good weekend all.. I am taking a little breather because life is getting a bit hectic here!
See you next week.

here's the letter I got Reinhard :)
I haven't clicked on the link because I don't want to have more spam or any virus attack my computer.

Hi,

I was wondering whether you would like to link to my site http://www.frixo.com from your page?

http://everydaysystems.com/bb/viewtopic.php?p=3095

Frixo is a road / motorway traffic reporting site and think it may be a useful resource for your readers. It gives users up to date information as the site gets updated every 3 minutes via feeds from various sources including the government's official Highways Agency site.

Thank you for your consideration.

Kind Regards,
Mike

Hi Deb,

If you untick your profile setting "always show email address" your email should be safe from spammers (at least spammers scraping this site).

Maybe I should make this the default...

Reinhard
