Happy Halloween!

Take a sledgehammer and wrap an old sweater around it. This is your "shovelglove." Every week day morning, set a timer for 14 minutes. Use the shovelglove to perform shoveling, butter churning, and wood chopping motions until the timer goes off. Stop. Rest on weekends and holidays. Baffled? Intrigued? Charmed? Discuss here.

BOO!

Is anyone counting Halloween as an S-day?

I wish! Then today wouldn't have been a failure :?

Mind you, it's not within the rules to decide on the day itself that it's an S day, I think. Not if you already had a whole year's notice of when it was taking place!

Happy halloween to you too though!

I hadn't planned on taking an S-day; I was just wondering what everyone else was doing.

We do a "blessing of trick or treaters" every Halloween here at the church, and give them candy. I just made up 50 bags, and the sweet smell is slightly sickening. Nope, no s-day for me!

Suprise S day

Post by Kevin » Mon Oct 31, 2005 8:41 pm

My wife made my lunch this morning (not a usual occurence) and must have figured it was an S day. There was a Snickers in my lunch (I think that's a Mars bar to you Brits - our Mars bars don't have peanuts).

I withstood the onslaught and didn't eat it. I Wanted to. But I didn't.

I always take Halloween. It's an S day almost entirely about S.

Halloween was an S-Day for me. It is hands down my favorite holiday of the year and if that doesn't merit an S-day then nothing does.

If I had my way, every day would be Halloween.

Hmmm, didn't notice until just now that I put this in the Shovelglove discussion. Was supposed to go in the No-S general discussion. Sorry 'bout that!

I had wondered, but figured 'whatever'! Maybe you only wanted to wish the Shovelglovers happy halloween

To make this more of a shovelglove discussion let me say that I am about to SG, and in the spirit of Halloween I will smash some uneaten Halloween candy with my sledge before I begin.... Now if only I could find someone to clean up this mess when I get done.
