I was at the doctor's today and had a spot check of my a1c (measure of blood glucose over about 3 months). For the first time in years it was normal! I'm pretty thrilled. I dread blood sugar tests but I was so happy about this one. I think it really is because of the three meals regime of NoS, which I adopted about six months ago. I'm not (yet) eating lightly enough for my menopausal self to drop weight, but keeping my prediabetes in check is even more important to me. |

Fantastic news! Looking after your health is crucial, the weight loss will follow I am sure. Well done _________________ "You'll know where the North Star is ⭐️" - Oolala |

This is great news!! I think that it doesn't matter what kind of "diet" we choose to follow. No-S has to be the foundation to make it work.
Congratulations on your success. |

Wonderful news! As a fellow post-menopausal woman with stubborn weight gain, I hear you on rejoicing for every victory and tbh, health counts even more than the scale....
Rejoicing with you! _________________ Vicki in MNE

That is so fantastic! I'm so glad to hear you say your blood readings are more important than the weight loss. I'd be more bummed if I got thinner but still had disease-dangerous readings. And the fact that you've done it with sustainable habits is even better, IMHO. _________________ Count plates, not calories. Three a day. 8 years & counting
