love the new colors

Post by oolala53 » Sat Dec 30, 2017 12:47 pm

I went to a member's check-in thread and thought she might have somehow been able to change the background colors from post to post. Then I thought, no, I'll check my thread, too. We all have it!

I really like the color palette. Soothing and low-contrast, plus a bit of lightheartedness with the touch of brightness in the pale blue.

Don't know what brought this on, but thank you, Reinhard! I really appreciate that you still provide this for us, and it's touching that you are willing to expend energy to make it even nicer. Not sure what's in it for you, but thank you!

On my side, it's not all shades of gray anymore. The color of the background of the posts changes alternately from light blue to white, and the borders are a grayish/ blue-green stripe on one edge. On the main discussion page, it's the columns on the right that alternate colors. Here, on reply, the left margin is gray with the icons, and the rest of the post has the light blue background.

Is my site on a mild version of psychedelics?

Maybe I have a poor memory?! I think it's the same as it has been for me. Blue border around the post categories, and posts alternate between a light blue-gray and a lighter gray shade. Maybe something was enabled for a specific browser or type of device? (I'm always amazed at how much programming sites have to go through to make things visible on all types of computers with all types of browsers, then add to that all the various sizes and types of tablets and then phones...whew!)
