Shovelglove 1984?

Take a sledgehammer and wrap an old sweater around it. This is your "shovelglove." Every week day morning, set a timer for 14 minutes. Use the shovelglove to perform shoveling, butter churning, and wood chopping motions until the timer goes off. Stop. Rest on weekends and holidays. Baffled? Intrigued? Charmed? Discuss here.

All the buzz about the apple iphone today made me remember a critical component of that famous commercial:

That ain't no ipod she's hurling at big brother.

I completely forgot about that ad...way cool. Is a "one minute hate" going to become part of the SG workout? You could even set new rules for SG, like going over 14 minutes is doubleplusungood... :P
Build a man a fire, he stays warm for a night.
Set a man on fire and he stays warm for the rest of his life.

That's brilliant! There's even something logical (not that that's necessary in doublespeak) about excess virtue being doubleplusungood.
