Well, I am trying to restart my diet and exercise for the new year. For Shovelglove I now have a "buddy" in my wife. I am using a 10 lb hammer and she is using a small (~3lb) hammer. We are not doing 5 days a week yet. We need more discipline in our routine I suppose.

We do (either side):

14 chop wood
14 shovel coal
14 flip lever
14 churn butter
14 hoist sack
14 (sometimes 7) Samurai w/ repost(sp?)

Repeat until 14 minutes is up. We can usually fit about 3 reps of this routine in 14 minutes.

Sometimes I just do the shovelglovin' by itself but when I have a bit more time, I like to mix in some cardio exercise as well ... I like doing jumping jacks so I do that in between shovelglove moves.

Each exercise is performed for about 55 seconds (I do 25 sec. each side on the L/R exercices, Left/Right) 5 seconds to switch sides.
25 sec. right 5 sec. to switch 25 sec. left

then I have 5 seconds to switch to the next line so it's almost non stop Really ... Takes about 26 minutes

If I don't have a lot of time, I do the shovelglovin' by itself no cardio.

I never count repetitions personally, I prefer to train using a timer, it's a pc timer I have on the computer, with huge numbers so I can see it from 15 feet away.

Training :

Jumping Jacks
Shoveling, G/D
Jumping Jacks
Churn Butter
Jumping Jacks
Fence Post
Jumping Jacks
Canoe Rowing
Jumping Jacks
Chop Wood

Chop Tree
Jumping Jacks
Stoke The Oven
