Amy's Checking In Again

Hi folks. I am a very loyal daily Habit Cal user and longtime No-S board member. I used to have an active check in thread when I first started out doing No-S in 2012, and got so much support and learned so much from the other members at that time. The boards were very active back then and the suppor...

Re: Retiring Bulletin board?

Wow, Reinhard, thank you so much! I have to admit I have been kind of sad this week, contemplating letting go of my daily habit of filling in the Habit Cal and following along on how other folks are doing with No-S, both of which have been so helpful to help me keep things on track all these years. ...

Thank you, Rheinhard, for keeping these boards and the HabitCal up and running all these years. I still visit daily to fill in my Habit Cal and while I would miss it tremendously if it all disappeared, I do understand your reasons for not wanting to continue to invest your time and energy into it. I love the quote, "have nothing in your home that you don't believe to be beautiful or know to be useful." Well done on your swimming! It took me a while to build up to 20 laps, too, and then about half a year (of swimming about once a week) to get up to 40.

Hope you ended the day on a green note!

Thanks Zippadee, my sister-in-law's surgery last night went well and she had a good night afterwards. Hopefully I'll hear more today, but am just relieved to know it went well. Monday = RED  I was fine all day until I went to book club, where I was planning on having an S-event, so I could par...

Thanks for sharing that link, Minimizer, interesting how it dovetails with No-S so well. And I didn't know that about the liver supposed to be supplying us with in-between meal snacks, if we give it a chance! Fascinating!

Thanks for adding my thread to the list! I know that my biggest challenge is not to disappear from the forum when the going gets tough, and I think this year long commitment is going to help me not do that. Have a good Sunday, everyone!

Thanks, guys! Had a kind of crazy S day yesterday, as we had company. Going to try to be a bit more reasonable today. Will be out of the house this afternoon, to visit my sister-in-law at the hospital, which helps.

Keep focusing on what you did well, and give yourself time to tackle the most difficult moment. It's probably going to take some trial and error to find what works. Also, excellent Oolala advice for really difficult moments on a recent comment on this check in thread:https://everydaysystems.com/bb/v...

Good job on not letting a few biscuits derail you from the rest of your day. I have some problem foods like that, too. Just better to get in the habit of not buying them and not having them around.

I do Yoga with Adriene, too! Are you doing her Revolution series this month?

Good for you on getting your swimming in and don't be too harsh on yourself for a red day - it took me months to figure out how to eat around my yoga class and I'm sure you'll figure out what kind of breakfast you need to sustain you through swimming (which does seem to create extra hunger, in my op...
