IMO. The Jessica Simpson post is waaay off topic and quite inappropriate. Although wouldn't it be nice to be in as good of shape she's in :)

I didn't even want to feed the troll and post on that thread.

Thanks for taking care of it.

Really inappropriate. I'm repeating this to get this thread to the top so you'll see it.[

I agree... though I have a feeling Reinhard is weekend-ludditing and might not even be aware of the post until Monday!

Yeah, just got back. Sorry about that.

This stuff doesn't get posted by trolls, but by automated spambots.

I have some primitive but effective filtering code that blocks the vast majority of this, and I'm pretty quick about finding and deleting the rest, but some slips through, especially on weekends.

Luddites were 19th century workers who destroyed textile machines which they felt would be threats to their jobs.

Now used to refer to folks who are in opposition to technology.

Some folks become "luddites" on weekends or even one day a week, trying to avoid technology -- ie not logging onto the computer, not checking email, turning off Blackberries, etc.

Thanks for answering that, Didi! I was wondering the same thing 8)

Now I'm wondering what a Blackberry is...aside from the obvious, that is

Hopelessly out of touch,

The reference was probably to a particular kind of luddite.
