* * * September Challenge * * *

Post by ~reneew » Wed Sep 01, 2010 4:44 pm

This September challenge is ~ to challenge ourselves!

This is for anybody who needs encouragement and daily accountability. We will all keep tabs on eachother. Think of this as your own little cheering section.

- State your challenge to yourself at the top of your post and then update us as to how you're doing. It's O.K. to not post daily, but try to keep us updated.
- *Remember* to only post once at the top and edit that first post all month.
- Please re-read that last one, some people don't get it.
- after September 3rd we will continue posting at the bottom for encouragement and fun.
- This team is meant for all of us to give support, so let's try hard to do that.
- good luck and have fun with it! :D

I'm in! I have returned from the land of tornado damage to start fresh. With all of the log-lifting, branch-hauling, and house-fixing, you'd think I'd have lost weight. I guess the wiped-out-at-the-end-of-the-day-rewards weren't doing me any good. So, I'm back for good this time (I hope).
My challenge to myself is this: Vanilla! I want to have a perfect month! I know it's a huge challenge to myself, but here I go...

September

1  success
2  success
3  success
4  success I did well today knowing that Monday will not be good. I succeded on a Saturday!!! Woohoo!
5  S day
6  S day I was starting to over do it, but not way over the top like I can sometimes.
7  success
8  success
9  success
10  success
11  S day
12  S day
13  success
14  cookies... other than that it was great
15  success
16  success I wrote it early to try to ward off eating one of those bars that I had to make for a funeral. I successfully did it without one tiny bite!!!
17  success and I'm down 24. My goal is down 26 at the end of this month. Think I'll make it???
18  S day I took full advantage of this S
19  S day I abused this one
20  success I'm kinda trying to hold off until dinner some days. It seems to work fast and it feels like I'm breaking my food addiction!
21  absolute failure. 2nd Tuesday in a row. Ug. I just snack. Duh!
22  success
23  success
24  success
25  S day
26  S day
27  success
28  success
29  success
30  success
I'm going to finish the month with a good day for sure because I finally finally got back to 26 pounds lost. Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

~reneew, I was so delighted to see this challenge, because it meant you were back! Delighted to see you.

I'm in, but will have to figure out at what level. This is a bit of a crazy time for me, so I want to set it at "do-able."

I'm in.

This is essentially month two for me. I struggled some in August and failed a total of 4 times. The goal for next month is only 1 failure day (or less, of course).

I also really want and need to build up the exercise habit. I did a great job of adding minimal exercise 5 days a week, but have now joined the Y and am trying to have more expanded and harder workouts. I've realized today that I need to go a little slow on this as I'm quite out of shape. The goal for this month will be at least 3 hours of heart rate increasing exercise per week over at least 3 days a week.

1- SUCCESS on food
2 - SUCCESS on food, SUCCESS on exercise (day 2 this month, day 1 was Aug 31)
3- NWS
4 - S on food, SUCCESS on exercise
5 - S on food, SUCCESS on exercise fulfilling my weekly exercise goal (180/180 minutes in 4 days)
6 - SUCCESS on food
7 - SUCCESS on food, SUCCESS on exercise (55/180 complete)
8 - SUCCESS on food, SUCCESS on exercise (100/180 complete)
9 - SUCCESS on food
10 - SUCCESS on food, minor SUCCESS on exercise (115/180 complete)]
11 - S on food, SUCCESS on exercise (135/180)
12 - S on food, SUCCESS on exercise (180/180)
13 - SUCCESS on food
14 - Day 21 today! SUCCESS on food, SUCCESS on exercise (50/180)
15 - SUCCESS on food, SUCCESS on exercise (95/180)
16 - SUCCESS on food
17 - SUCCESS on food, pass on exercise due to being sick
18 - S on food, still sick so no exercise
19 - S on food, and I'm still sick so I'm definitely not going to meet my exercise goal for the week. But since it's because I'm sick (enough to cancel all social plans) I won't call it a failure either.
20- SUCCESS on food
21- SUCCESS on food
22 - FAILURE on both. In a very controlled way. That's my one. And I feel confident that I can be successful for the remaining 8 days of the month. It's really just a technical failure and I totally own that, but I was never at all out of control or really excessive (I had 1 cookie in the afternoon and 1 margarita with dinner at a restaurant that specializes in them) and that felt really good.
23 - SUCCESS on food, SUCCESS on exercise (30/180)
24 - SUCCESS on food, SUCCESS on exercise (70/180)
25- S on food, SUCCESS on exercise (115/180)
26 - S on food, FAIL on exercise
27 - SUCCESS on food, SUCCESS on exercise (30/180)
28 - SUCCESS on food, SUCCESS on exercise (80/180)
29 - SUCCESS on food -- only 1 more day and I'll have met my goal for the month! I have a dinner date, which always makes it harder, but I KNOW I can do it!

I'm in. Vanilla No-S, allowing for max two NWS in the month. I've tentatively restarted, but haven't been posting in my daily thread lately, and I've noticed it makes me less likely to follow it. I guess I'm back at stage two (for me), which is "it's easy to do but it's just as easy to break it", which was easily solved last time by posting my daily result.

September 1st - Success
September 2nd - NWS - Went to the PNE, a huge yearly fair with my mom, grandmother and best friend. Mini donuts were in order and regular eating was not enforced. It's a fair, for heaven's sake!
September 3rd - Success, though I did succumb to my desire for a slushie  it was so worth it though
September 4th - S Day
September 5th - S Day. Due to severe lack of money, the only S's I got were some homemade cookies and sherbet a friend fed me. Having severe chocolate cravings... don't know if I'll make it through the week.
September 6th - Starting a new exercise routine. 14 minutes of cardio one day, weight training the next. Neither are exactly normal, but I think they'll help me until I get some money together to take martial arts.
September 7th No-S Success Exercise fail. Was busy and forgot XD
September 8th Success!
September 9-12 Sick, ate very little
September 13th Success
September 14th Success
September 15th Success. My appetite still seems a little off, I've not been eating very much for meals.
September 16th Success, but still funny appetite. Almost didn't eat dinner. and had very small breakfast and lunch
September 17th My first day of Aikido! Ohmygosh that was exhausting and fun.
September 18th-19th S Day
September 20th - My schedule is really messed up due to 7am Aikido (waking up at 5) and I'm thinking of taking a week long break to figure out when my meals should be now.

Count me in. Vanilla no S. I've been doing better the last two weeks, but need to do even better than that in order to go from maintaining to losing.

9/1 SUCCESSS
9/2 FAIL

I'm in too! My goal for this month is simply to stick with this. This is all new to me, and I think I'm probably initially going to have a gain, since I have abused my body with other diets. Goal for this month is to stabilize things and try to convince my body I am not going to starve it anymore.
8/31/10 Start.
Starting weight: 134.5
Current weight: 132.5
~~ Goal: 115 ~~

Ugh, it was going well for me, but today I've had a sore throat all day, just got home and I feel like passing out right now.
Thinking about food is making me feel nauseous. I do not need to get sick in the first week back to Uni!

Take care of yourself Aleria... don't worry about the exercise when you're sick, and don't press yourself to eat if not hungry. Listen to your body, it will tell you.

I feel my month was a success, even with a couple reds, I'm loosing and that's what matters. I need to get into the habit of not wanting to eat all of the time, and it's coming around. Thanks all for updating!
