Heartburn?

Okay, I noticed the last few days after eating my 3 squares on 9 inch plates, not very vertical :D and the foods I normally eat. What I'm finding is heartburn right after I eat. Not sure if this is due to eating larger meals and then no snacking. It lasts for a little a while, I have to eat Tums.

Anyone else experience this. Kind of weird...I guess my body is used to eating smaller meals with snacking every couple hours.

Yik, very uncomfortable... :?

If you're eating larger amounts in any one sitting, it might take a while to get used to. Slowing down your eating to give you time to digest may help.

For myself, I find that heartburn is directly related to what I eat and not how much. I've also found that eating too fast often seems to be a problem.

Thankss

K, I'll give slowing down a try, I thought I was eating slower, but perhaps not. I had to eat tums this morning...didn't even eat yet.

Perhaps until my body adjusts I can try an over the counter prilosec or something.

:D

There's also always the possibility that what you're experiencing isn't the result of what or how (No-S) you're eating -- that something else is going on. If it doesn't resolve itself within a short period of time, certainly less than a month, I'd see a doctor.

Definitely see a doctor if this doest go away! I experience this to and it has nothing to do with no s.....nothing serious but so thin you want to keep your eye on

Before no s, I suffered from heartburn, it eased off after no s but it took a little while at first. Then, as long as I was loyal to my no s plan, my heartburn eventually disappeared. I gradually stopped doing no s (Duh!) and low and behold, the heart reappeared. I'm back on the diet and I've experienced more heartburn at first, but now it's easing off. I just take a Tums or two. The constant grazing keeps you from feeling the burn, but give it some time and I'm sure it will start to subside.

I found this a couple of months ago and thought it was interesting.

I really do suggest you see a doctor if it doesn't resolve itself soon. My former mil was eating Tums like candy about 20 years ago. It had nothing to do with her digestive system. Bypass surgery cured it; she had heart disease all along. Don't mean to scare you, but it could be a lot of other things.

my heartburn is gone, i think it was some new herbel supplement I was trying for a few days, grapeseed extract. since stopped taking it i feel 100% better, so it wasn't the good eating.

I'm glad your heartburn is gone! I've found that most of my digestive issues have lessened with noS. A very nice surprise! A very nice poster suggested that I try a little apple cider vinegar in a glass of water for heartburn. It worked almost as soon as I took it and I found I really like the taste..it reminds me of buttermilk.. something I really like but don't drink because of lactose issues. good luck with no S. You will get a lot of support here!

thanks
