Just for clarity, I don't use the Konmari method. It's a mishmash of Flylady, a teeny bit of KM, and lots of me. I got stalled by getting caught up in wanting to have a chance to offer things in my neighborhood (I've gotten some useful stuff for free. Want to make the gesture).
I have to tell you, when I read that you have TWO pairs of shoes, it was as close as spraying a beverage out of my mouth in astonishment as I've ever come. No hiking boots? Athletic shoes? Sandals for summer? Cleaning/gardening shoes? I bow to you.
The "garage" stuff and the PAPERS are a higher priority for me now, but when I"m done, I'm going to reward myself with the book,
The Tidy Closet. I wish my library had a copy, as it might be a little too chic for my needs. In SoCal, some people might be misled! In the meantime, I am determined to actually wear some of my "work" clothes when I got out instead of the chronic cazh that it is the norm almost everywhere.
If I may, I humbly suggest that you think of eating maintenance rather than weight maintenance. And maybe minimalist (only daily needs and a little kick for celebration) for eating down the line.

That way, feminine fluctuations will not be so ego-bruising. They are meaningless in the habit formation, which is where the real goodies are.
I promise I'll keep working on my material stuff in parallel with you and No S stuff. Actually, by the standards of most of the general population of my age cohort, my digs are quite simple. I was going to say "pretty" simple, but honestly, there's not a lot of pretty things. (Been working on assets that make money rather than decor, though that's not always successful.

) I'll work on a little bit of pretty when I clear the space.)
