Spartacus Showtime

Last night I watched all of the "Spartacus Gods of the Arena" series and started in and "Blood and Sand". It is one of the better series I have seen in quite awhile. I guess the lead character, Andy Whitefield, is quite ill (non-Hodgkins lymphoma) and will be taking this year off, but they have replaced him. (Good luck to him...)
Good show anyway, I hope Showtime can keep it going. I do still prefer Dexter.

DH loves that type of show. We don't get Showtime but he is all about the Syfy.

Someone described the show once as: a perfect soap-opera for men.
I don't have anything to add to this statement.

Interesting how our parents get "prudish" as they get older. My mom said she had Tivoed it for my dad, thinking he would love it, but didn't peruse it first. I guess they were both quite indignant at the "reality" of the show.
It might be the perfect sopa pera for men, but my daughter said the smae thing about The Contender.
