Down 45lbs in 5 1/2 months

(New!) Read (or post) about people who have stuck with No-S for 10 or more months, lost 10 or more pounds, or 10 or more percent for their starting weight. Periodic updates strongly encouraged -- you can think of it as "Yearly Check In."

Down 45lbs in 5 1/2 months

Post by beckym » Fri Sep 26, 2008 12:00 pm

Hi, I've never posted anything anywhere before, but I wanted to let you know how much I swear by NoS. I started April 1st and found a "diet" that I could live with for life. I've lost 45 lbs so far. I've got 70 more to go (I hate to even admit that) but I'm feeling great, never deprived. Thanks for this common sense approach to diet.

Congratulations, Becky! That's a tremendous success.

And thank you so much for letting us know. We're a pretty sweet bunch here, but I know internet bulletin boards in general can be forbidding places and I really appreciate your taking the plunge and posting here.

I love the sound of the sense of peace you have about eating now. I wonder if you browsed the boards, even if you didn't post. I'm doubly impressed if you did this just by reading the book. Keep up the good work; I know it sounds corny, but I believe the world needs us! Or, at least the developed world does.

Congrats! I need to lose 79lbs - can you post what you typically eat for meals - I have only been doing this for 2 weeks and I am a super picky eater. Thanks!!!
In the picture found on Redchina's forum I weighed roughly 275 lbs.

Weight 07/27/09 = 268.0 lbs
