Re: automated eating tracker

Not having the attention span anymore is quite scary. I must admit I don't like to read long pieces online and when I started reading novels again, something I've always enjoyed I do prefer short snappy chapters but partly because I like to finish at the end of a chapter and I don't always have time...

Re: Sammy's Daily Check In

Sounds like a good plan! Yes the site is incredibly slow to load for me yesterday and today. Sometimes it doesn't load at all and comes up with a 404 message. Yes, Same!! I wonder what's up. I'm not on Facebook, or I would let Reinhard know. I have messaged him but not sure if he will get a notific...

Re: Amy's Checking In Again

Love this post, after my current holiday I am going to give some serious thoughts to the habits I know I need to cultivate then commit to them on my thread.

Thanks Amy

Re: Ellis tries again!

Really in the big scheme of things what you do on Sunday won't make a huge impact. It's what you do Monday onwards that will have a bigger impact. Don't sweat it. You are going to have small slips but if you do Monday to Fri next week all green you'll be fine. πŸ˜€ You need to an extent to lose the die...

Re: Sammy's Daily Check In

I too have struggled with my weight my whole life, going through menopause I reached my heaviest (apart from pregnancy). I started on No S and transitioned to IF . I got to my lightest ever but have over the last year gained about 9lbs. I gained it because I started returning to old habits. My sugge...

For me it was Fitting in a pair Levi's that had been in the wardrobe for an age Getting my shapely ankles back Buying clothes and feeling good in them Throwing or donating clothes that were too big away Liking myself in photos Still hoping to lower my HbA1c but until March I had maintained it. Great...

Re: How often do y'all weigh yourselves?

It's fantastic that the boards are more active. I am currently weighing daily as it keeps me on track. I think daily is fine as long as you know if you get an upward fluctuation it won't derail you. I would say do what works for you but might be worth discussing your reasons with your dietician. Jx

Congratulations that is a massive step and boost, you now know you can do it.

If you don't do it every day don't think of it as a fail it's a learning opportunity :D

Re: Sammy's Daily Check In

Great advice Soprano! I'm new to no-S but definitely find the value in cutting out the snacking. Even healthy veg/fruit. We were talking last weekend about why did my A1c go down from last year to this year. I weigh 7 pounds more, I walked less, I ate more carbs. I ate less sweets but not that many...

Re: Sammy's Daily Check In

Learning to sit with hunger can take time I'm sure you will get there but be patient with yourself.

Remind yourself your next meal will taste so much better if you are hungry.

Good luck!

Re: Pinkhippies daily check in

I found IE difficult and read a lot of different books but my biggest learning from it which has stayed with me is I can eat what I want and what I found taking the time to taste everything properly was I didn't really like half of the so called treats so it has been easy to say no to them.

Re: Pinkhippies daily check in

Food really does taste so much better when you are truly hungry. I can identify with what you are saying. If I have a large lunch I don't really feel stomach growling hunger later but do feel like I need something. It is probably habit. I also worry I will wake in the night too hungry to sleep. Stop...

Sleep is good though and if you needed it might even do as much good as a walk.

Might you be able to walk later ?

Hi

Re your reflux, my mum was suffering and my brother told her she drank too much coffee, she cut it right back and hey presto is much better. He had suffered the same.

Don't know if you drink much coffee but just a thought that may help you or others.
