Thanks Jan. Glad to hear Fatty is still going strong. I grew up with a cat called Boot, who finally died aged 21, shortly before my 16th birthday. Lyra is very young by comparison - only 4 years old. You're right that there's no question of leaving her behind - she's my baby!! I think Lyra's j...

Anybody got any experience of flying their pets anywhere...?

I need to arrange to get my Cat Lyra transported from the UK to the Netherlands. Any of you ever flown with a cat before? Are there any particular experiences you could share or do you know of a good source of information?

Cheers

The Boy got back on his bike last night and we went for a short ride to the supermarket and back - mainly just for the sake of it, but also to pick up a few more tins and stuff to stock up our cupboards. His grazed knee is pretty sore, but doesn't seem to be slowing him down all that much anymore. T...

Hey, don't worry about the Plateau. Sometimes that happens even if you're being really good. As long as it's not going up, what the hell, I say. I also had a 'wobble' about 6 weeks in where I started to eat more junk and 'sin' in small ways, but managed to stamp on it. I'm sure you will be able to t...

Hi everyone, well I got up and did my MILA stuff this morning. Only managed about 7 minutes with the 'hammer though as my arm muscles are tired, but did the remainder of the time with leg lifts, jogging on the spot, a few squats and so on. Thanks for your post Deb! Don't worry though, I'm acutely aw...

I would say that the primary thing is that you stick to whatever rules you make for yourself, and are careful not to 'lie' to yourself. It's only YOU you'll be cheating on if you do! I think what everyone above has said is true and spot on. Like Rumba, I've found that a large amount of protein will ...

done my 14 minutes for today. It was probably more like 12 minutes of slow, but proper SG, followed by about 2 minutes of standing around jiggling the hammer about a bit going 'come on timer. Ring. My arms hurt now'.

Got to carve out that time though. Must. Try. Harder.

Hey Deb! THATS FANTASTIC!!! :D Wow. Great going. I had a nice 'stepping on the scales' thing on Monday too. I'm down to 91.5kg. (almost exactly 200lb) for the first time in about a year. This puts me back in the 'overweight' category for my BMI rather than 'Obese'! (BMI 29.9) !! I know it's just a l...

Yeah, I have to agree, there's definately something beautiful about it. My Dad put it best when he rang to explain the situation to me. Day 4 MILA:- So far so good. Got up this morning and got right to it. Set my timer for 14 minutes and hoe-ed to with a mix of gentle shovelglove and some bouncing (not at the exact same time *grin*). Cynthia, the scales are really not your friend. Firstly, it's perfectly possible to gain weight AND become leaner and healthier. Add to that the fact that most bathroom scales are only accurate plus or minus 2 lb anyway (which is plenty to wreck your mood, I know!) AND your bodyweight will naturally...
