I have finally decided to succumb to No-S, and accept that I am no longer able to control my eating by other means (skipping meals, eating dessert instead of meals, gorging one day and starving the next, weighing obsessively, etc.) I am done with all of it. I no longer want to bargain with myself ov...

Thanks for your input, everyone! It's interesting to see that many of you do, in fact, eat two meals per day and make it work. The after-dinner dessert, however, seems to be a separate issue that is different for everyone. For me, it's a matter of sustainability. A small dessert each night would mak...

Does anyone do two meals?
About two years ago, I lost a significant amount of weight eating 2 meals per day, plus a small dessert. I had started off doing No-S, but over time my habits kind of morphed into the 2-meal pattern. I'm not generally hungry in the morning, and would much rather just enjoy my coffee and let my appet...

Many of you know my story. I lost some weight on No-S several years ago, and went on to lose about 35lbs total after shifting to my own plan of two meals + dessert each day. Yes, yes you do. The thing is, I have the self-awareness to recognize these things about myself, know that they are unreasonable, and attempt to change them. My own feelings about the way I eat have nothing to do with my ability as a health professional or the manner in which I will counsel patients...

Time to get to it...
Hello everyone! Some of you probably remember me. I've followed No-S off and on for the past few years, and eventually went on to lose over 30lbs not following a specific plan, just watching myself and trying not to go overboard. I guess you could say that following No-S made me what Reinhard likes ...

I'm one semester shy of graduating with my nutrition degree, so, in short, food and nutrition are my life. While I don't currently practice No-S, practicing it DID jumpstart my 30lb weightloss that I have been maintaining for nearly 2 years (5'7.5, 168 down to 138). I have become what Reinhard refer...

Jocelyn's Back!
After contemplating my food future the past couple of weeks, I've decided that it's best for me to get back on the No-S wagon. While eating what I wanted, when I wanted was nice for awhile, and I lost weight, I think I actually LIKE more structure...so here I go...again! Day 1 - SUCCESS! Breakfast -...

Thank you so much for all the help, everyone! You're all so helpful...that's why I love it here! I think I'm going to give it another week or two to really think about how I'd like to eat FOREVER. While how I'm eating now is sort of 'freeing', doing No-S would probably be better for me from a health...

Thanks for the responses! :) Yes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Problem is, I still have about 10lbs I'd like to lose. Thus far, No-S and regular exercise has been the ONLY way I've ever healthily lost weight. These facts tell me that I could eat how I'm eating now and maintain, but could I conti...

Have I become intrinsically moderate?
Hi all, As some of you may know, I fell off the No-S wagon in July, but still completely agree with the No-S lifestyle, read the boards every day, and consider myself part of the No-S community. Since July, I've attempted to get back on the No-S wagon several times, without success. The problem, I t...

Hey guys! Hope you haven't been missing my daily check-in. Life has been pretty hectic this past week because I've been transitioning between my apartment at school and my parents' house. Sadly, I have fallen off the wagon in terms of No-S, but not terribly! I have maintained my 7-8lb weightloss, am...

For some reason, I've been second guessing No-S recently. Because of this, I decided to use the last two days to experiment a little bit. This meant not overeating, but having a snack if I felt it was necessary or a small sweet treat after dinner if I wanted. I was very scared to do this, but figure...

I do combine the foods with other things. A glass of milk and fruit, or yogurt and fruit. I would never eat just a bar...that's not a meal! ;) I'm also very picky about which one I eat...I dissect the ingredient list and try to buy bars that have lots of natural ingredients like dried fruit and nuts...

I know alot about nutrition since it's what I go to school for, and these bars and trail mix are not everyday fare. I simply use them when I'm rushing around and need my meal to be quick. I have found a few brands that are healthy, don't contain too many calories or artificial ingredients, and actua...

Ok, So I know the rules are no SWEETS, not no SUGAR, and that a sweet is loosely defined as something you would eat for dessert. My question is concerning certain borderline foods, namely things that have small amounts of chocolate in them. Granola/energy bars, trail mix, and cereal are some of my f...
