Why can't I see the posts?

I don't understand why I can no longer see any of the posts in the Forums. the page is blank when I try to open any post. I have a new iMac and can only think it has something to do with that. Of course I probably won't be able to see any replies I get to this post either! So confused! JeanDC

I have just completed day 9 successfully. I've been trying to stick to the NoS rules for 34 months, with no success, so I'm sitting here with a grin on my face the size of the Cheshire Cat's. So count me in. 21 days here I come! Jean

Thanks for the words of encouragement Janie. I managed day 2 as well. I'm going away for a couple of days, but my intention is to carry on with the 3 meals. Jean

Day 1 under my belt

Well I managed Day 1 (Saturday) without too much trouble. I had two meals of what I fancied, including much cheese and some chips. My plan for the month of September is to get the 3 meal habit down, eating what I fancy for the 3 meals, as long as they are 1 plate (except Sdays). When I manage to get...

Well I'm still sort of lurking here, never got into the NoS habit after injuring my arm. My brain keeps being drawn back to the NOS way of eating, but I just keep on failing. I get really bad cravings for sugar and feel quite ill after a couple of sugar-free days. I know in theory that I will feel O...

Well, its a long time since I checked in, 10 months to be precise. I want to start again, clean start and all that. I've not been successful doing NoS since I injured my arm. All the choccies, forced inactivity etc. have had a devastating effect on my waistline (and other parts!). The results of my ...

Doing it and checking in gain.

I'm having another go. The only time I had much success was when I did a daily check in, so here goes again! Last time I was doing OK then fell and injured my arm, about 6 months ago. I did well for a few days in hospital but when I came out I couldn't resist all the goodies people were bringing me....

Please can I join the 21 Club, say 'Yes' or I'll burst! I'm soooooooooo proud of myself for making it this far. The first week or so I felt really ill and struggled through severe cravings. The third week I spent 4 days in hospital after falling and damaging my wrist badly. So now I'm one-handed for...

The weekend went well again. I allowed myself supper as my one N Day treat. There are still chocs around from my hospital visit. DH has eaten a few. They may get the prize for the longest lasting box of choccies in my house. Not craving at all now. Sticking to just 2 pieces of fruit a day, I know fr...

I fell last sunday and have been in hospital having a plate and wires inserted into my right wrist. I kept to my No S plan fine, amazed myself actually. I now have enough chocolate and dessert 'get well' gifts to feed an army. I do NOT have to eat them. I'm not craving them and if I eat any of them ...

Today I counted as an S day as I went out with friends for a birthday meal. I had cheeses, a few slices of apple and a few grapes as 'dessert', so that was my one extra I allow myself on an S day.

Still feeling good physically, practically no cravings. I can do this thing!

I eat them untoasted, buttered then with cheese spread or cheddar cheese on. Mind you, I like cheese with fruit cake too. Definitely an S day treat in my mind.

I've now made day 12, 9 good N days and 3 S days when I just had one extra snack, so I consider those to be successes too.

I think I may be having less cravings at last. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm very new to NoS, just over a week, but do have stopping-smoking experience. I was following a sort-of similar plan to NoS when I quit 18 months ago. I ate no sugar at all, 3 healthy meals a day but with snacks thrown in. For the first 4 months or so I forced myself to keep on my food plan. I did...

Day 9 and I'm still making it! I felt physically better from day 7 onwards. Had a rough day at work today, feel fed up and tired tonight. Could just eat a very large bar of choccy, but would feel disappointed with myself after so most probably wont.

Thanks for your kind words of advice KCCC. This morning I got up quite early feeling back to my normal self. I've had quite a productive day. Whatever was going on those first 6 days seems to have left me. Fingers crossed I'm over the hard bit.

Is it normal to feel physically ill the first week?

I'm struggling through day 6 today. I've felt rotten all week, tired, absolutely no energy. I've felt as if I'm ready to burst into tears at any time. I've had two migraines. I've been going back to bed each afternoon for a couple of hours and sleeping. I've gone from loads of sugar daily to none. C...

I'm struggling through day 6, feeling really ill. I'm wondering if it's normal to feel this bad, so will ask on the general board.

I have absolutely no energy, am bad tempered too.

Here I am back again. I'm on day 5, so have a little bit of 'The Hard Part' already over. Last time I tried it was a S day that floored me. I ended up hoovering sugar down my throat like mad, felt depressed about that, said 'This won't work' blah blah blah. Gave up. This time I've had migraine two d...

Day 4, a day when I've often caved in in the past, and all is well. Went out for a meal with friends. Chose a 'not very nice' meal, had only one plate.

Day 2 was a success, but hard, very hard. Evening time again, wanted sugar, sugar sugar. Feel I've really accomplished something though. Meals bigger than usual, plus two milky coffees.

Jean's daily check in

Yesterday, Day 1 was a success. Yippee for me! Felt very flat in the evening, basically just curled up on the sofa, very much wanting sugary stuff. Evenings are my worst time. The drinking milk idea is brilliant. I had a milky coffee about 4 pm and took a glass of soya milk to bed. Couldn't have cop...
