the best part of this is the new found enjoyment of food. I eat what I want and am focussed on the concept of the 'empty plate' being the signal that I'm done.

I'm new at this too.
I've done only 3 N days, but I know this is going to work. The concept of the "Empty Plate" meaning "I'm done" is simple but amazingly powerful. There is always another plate to look forward to in a few hours. I'm impressed with how good food tastes when there are boundaries. Let's keep going.

But Atkins worked so well so many times
... but I gained it all back. Thing is, this book says what we all know to be true. We're not fat because we eat beets - it's sweets, seconds, and snacks. My 90 year old father knew to eat well on the weekends and to 'tighten up' during the week.
