One of my pre-NoS criteria was that the sweet had to be homemade, that is made by the hands of someone I know (or their spouse or other family member). Desserts from a restaurant or bakery or donut shop do NOT count and can't be eaten. Somehow I believe I'm getting the best of the dessert world! Gwen

Matymus - WELCOME! I'm a newbie No-Ser too. I wonder if you might benefit most by taking one S at a time, mostly to prove to yourself that Yes, You Can Do It. Maybe take the one S that "scares" you the most, and kick it out of your food plan for one week, then maybe the next S, and so on. Just a tho...

CVMOM, actually the granola bar seems to hold me (most of the time). If I get hungry before lunch, I make myself drink a bottle of water which usually forestalls the hunger. It seems that I read somewhere that oftentimes when you "feel" hungry, you're actually thirsty. I know what you mean about it ...

To eat or not to eat...

Here's my take on the granola issue. When I eat a granola bar on my drive to work - that's a meal. If I eat a granola bar after my dinner - that's a sweet, aka dessert. Sound reasonable?
