WOW!! Thanks for all the great ideas!! I went to Whole Foods today and we ground our own fresh peanut butter. I never thought of that on toast, we would all like that.
You all have given so many great ideas. I will definately be trying a lot of them.

What do you eat for Breakfast????

I have never been a breakfast eater, NEVER!!! Coffee has always been my breakfast, but have decided that is not setting a very good habit for my DD's.

So, besides cereal, yogurt and eggs what is your favorite???

I seem to be great until around 4:00. I am so HUNGRY that all I can think about is food. The other day it was especially bad and I was not being very nice to my DD's. I drank a small glass of milk (skim, it is the only kind we like) and it had such an amazing calming affect. That ravenous feeling le...

SWEETS!!!!!! Every night after my DD's are nice and tucked into bed, I have always had my sweet treats!! Kind of like a relaxing, end of day ritual. It is such a part of me that it is very hard letting go. I know, without doubt, this is THE habit that has kept the 15 pounds on me that need to GO. I...

You don't look like a fool!! Sometimes it feels that you are being challenged when you post something and someone has a problem with it. But, I think this was just meant as a general question as to why do we believe the things we do. Most of the time it is because it is just misinformation passed do...

Awesome!! Is what you were meaning by making Sunday your weigh in day is kind of like a motivator. Weight not down, so don't go crazy!! Weight down, so don't mess it up with a crazy day!! If so, that is exactly what I do!! I am not a slave to the scale, it doesn't ruin my mood or day, it is what it ...

Isn't it funny how most of us are now realizing that this way of life is what we all knew down deep. I have spent so many years trying to make it so much more complicated!! I lost my mother when I was 23 years old. Thirteen years ago, and I can still see her face and her hands!! Her voice and laugh ...

I too am always looking at the front of those tabloid magazine's at the stars and "How they lost all their weight" and can easily buy into their fad!! Which, now I remind myself is way too much work compared to NoS! Also, I know I would never keep the fad diet up for very long. I can also relate to ...

I don't believe that the set point is necessarily your ideal weight, but what you weigh, or have weighed for awhile. Just an idea!! To move down the scale, we have to resist that urge to "feed the furnace" outside of meal time!

I had once read how we have a "set Point" for our weight. If we get below that weight, our hunger will take over, cuing us to eat more so that we will not drop in our weight. The whole idea is like a thermometer in our homes. We have the heat set on 70, if the room drops below that, the heat cranks ...
