Update from Creaky

Then I broke my right ankle riding my bike 10 weeks ago and just got back on my feet this past week. I hope to get back to the swordfigh...

Medival Combat groups

Has anyone ever participated or is a member of a historical stage combat school or a medieval combat groups? They use padded weapons and train to fight battles, or do hand to hand combat drills, etc. I'm not sure how I started on this Internet search - I either saw something related to it on this si...

No S - success. The time after dinner is tough for me and I need to figure out why. I eat a good size dinner. Tonight was a grilled chicken sandwich from Wendys. a very large salad, small Wendy's chili. I thought that would be enough but it wasn't. SG - 10 minutes. Felt good. I am up to 30 reps on m...

I walk at my morning break (15 mins) and 30 mins at lunch. I also walk my dogs for 25-30 min M, T, Th, and Friday, then twice a day on Sat and Sunday. I do the shovelgloving M-F for 10 mins. I'm slowly increasing it each week. I've added pushups, lunges and squats. Once I get a recumbent bike, I'll ...

Creaky's Update

Hi all, I'm really enjoying the shovelgloving and it has helped me to start to do more resistant training, such as squats, lunges and pushups. I thought today on adding some functional exercises - I have a strap system that will let me do modified pullups. SG has been the first resistance exercise t...

No S- Success to some extent or maybe a failure to a small extent. I didn't feel like eating my normal breakfast - I really should have eaten it. Maybe I would have felt better emotionally throughout the day as I was a pissed off person all day - not sure why. Luckily I can get off by myself at work...

Waves back at AnnieDe. Yes, it's who you think it is. Splurges today a Frosty at Wendy's with a healthy lunch - chicken sandwhich, ceasar salad and diet coke. Dinner - lots of meat and frozen veggies. Usually I only have 4-6 ounces of meat at dinner, but tonight was considerably more. Big splurge on...

Hi mshuler61, I'm new to No S but not to changing how I eat. I found No S two nights ago and jumped right into it, but I've had a year worth of practice in getting my eating in line. I was worried about losing my 10 and 3 pm and 7 pm snacks but I added the foods I'd eat in my snacks to my meals. Are...

No S - success. I was worried that eliminating my 10 am and 3 pm snacks would be a problem, but I'm not hungry like I used to be at those times. Maybe it's because I eat a large satisfying meal at breakfast and lunch. SG - another 7 minutes. I did it about 30 minusts dinner, a lighter one than norma...

Creaky's Intro

Hi Everyone, I found this site last night by searching for 'functional exercises', bought my hammer tonight and used it. It felt good to do some real exercise. I may be a bit sore tomorrow. I was only able to do 8 minutes with a 8 pound (10.5 with handle) hammer. I felt my form getting bad and knew ...

Creaky's Daily Checkin

Glad to have found this site. Will try to do daily check-in. I'm doing both No S and shovelgloving. Love that shovelgloving! This is what I will normally eat on a N-Day and this is what I've eaten on most days for past few months. Now I've just added my snacks to my regular meals. Breakfast: oatmeal...

I add a banana to my oatmeal before cooking it for 2 minutes at 70% in the microwave. I also add chia seed gel to my oatmeal, rice, couscous or any grain I cook. I found out about chia seeds a few weeks ago when researching using fish oil supplements to treat dry eye syndrome. I ordered a trial samp...
