I too have found that I spend less on groceries lately. I don't buy snacks. I plan my 3 meals a day for a week and buy accordingly. Less meat, more fruit, veggies with beans and grains. Funny nowadays I leave more at the store than I buy. I just walk around the store and say no to this, no to that, ...

Its so nice to be back amongst my own kind. I fell off the No S wagon a while back and gained all the weight I did lose in the first place. I went to Barnes and Noble looking for a diet book, because No S didn't work, looking for the NEXT great diet. As I was looking at the latest diet books I kept ...

Thank you Debs, it means a lot to me.
This is the first time I have ever been on a diet, and first, stuck with it past lunch time, and second actually lost weight on. About time!

Love No S Diet. :D

My mother always had Skippy PB, hated it, so when I became an adult I switched to Jiff. DH likes Adams PB that you have to stir and stir, it always looks oily to me.

All I can say is Thank God For Peanut Butter :D

I too love apples with peanut butter, and I love "choosy mothers choose" Jiff.
Since I can't have it for a snack anymore, I will have it for lunch or sometimes dinner.

Down 3 lbs this week, that's a total of 8.4 lbs in 2 weeks. :D

Even though I'm doing Nos and loving it, I still eat like I'm on a diet by eating all the food groups. I have a carb, protein, dairy and fruit in the morning. A carb, protein, veggie and fruit for lunch, and a carb, protein, dairy and 2 veggies for dinner. I plan my meals around this combination for...

Why we all start new diets on Monday is beyond me. So I suggest start Nos on Thursday, see if you can do 2 N days, the have 2 S days. Take one baby step at a time. Don't make excuses before you even start. Once you start eating Nos you will be surprised how easy it really is. Focus in I can not I ca...

This was my 2nd S days, last week I ate S days like N days. I really thought about the whole concept of this diet, and I came to the conclusion, that I can have SOME not ALL I want. I can have 1 piece of cake, not the whole cake. If I can have 1 piece I don't need/want the whole cake. what a freeing...

I love this way of eating so much, Reinhard didn't give us a ton of rules to follow, he laid out a simple formula for us to enter our own information into so its designed just for our individual needs. You will find what works for you and what doesn't, just listen to your body it will tell you. Micm...

I don't have time to enter everything in the food tracker either, the fitness tracker is nice and i have used that for a while. But there is so much more on sparkpeople, for instance all the information and support of spark teams one finds there is so helpful in keeping the motivations high. OK trut...

I usually have steel oats, 1 or 2 eggs, a small V8 and a small banana around 9:00 every morning, fills me up nicely till lunch time around 1:00. I cook steel oats in a pressure cooker, then store the remaining in an 8X8 pan for the rest of the week. Experiment with different combination of foods to ...

I had a very confused childhood, spending time in two different households. My single alcoholic mother was always to drunk to remember that there was a child in the house who needed food to survive. When she did remember to feed me, I knew enough even then, to overeat, because I didn't know when thi...

I agree wosnes, some people just plain think something this simple can't possibly work, since we have become conditioned to such stringent, and difficult diets, like counting calories or memorizing long food lists. I tired of them quickly and then felt depressed. Now I try to keep it as simple as po...

I'm convinced that all of my excess weight I have, came from eating junk food at night. I would eat good and healthy all day, then at night WHAM the continuous snacking would start. DH would go to bed, I would make a mad dash to the kitchen and munch, graze, snack, binge what ever you want to call i...

Why don't people get it??

I have been talking and posting about Nos for a while now, mainly because I'm so jazzed about the sensibility and the simplistic nature of a whole new (old) way of eating like normal people. Why are people so pig headed and think they MUST have sweets and snacks? Why are dieters going to die before ...

Sparkpeople and No S Diet

My name is Karen and I'm new to Nos, I have been eating 3 meals and no snacks or sweets or seconds for 1 week, and have already lost over 5 lbs. :D I belong to Sparkpeople and I have been spreading the word abot Nos, as much as I can. I have never been so pleased by a weight loss plan. This is somet...
