I wish there was a way to kick in for his costs. I’ve thought several times of copying everything to a Word doc , or creating the Word doc first and transferring it. Here and on Sparkpeople. But I have thousands of posts! I would hate to lose it all.

I don't think there is anything official in the book, though Reinhard has stated that he thinks having ideal habits is much preferred over aiming for an ideal weight. He has also stated that he thinks weight is not a very good metric for measuring a habit. That said, I did weigh daily and average we...

S is for sweets, not sugar in general. Whole fresh fruit is not a sweet. Many people have jam on toast or some sugar in coffee. I say if it makes you want more and more of it, don't use it. If not, a smear of jam is fine. The same number of raisins as you would have grapes is fine. Etc. At the same ...

Dance does not please me as consistently as it used to. The classes don't occur at very opportune times either. What most people can't do is reduce their eating in any way, shape, or form. They THINK they're going to be able to follow a directed diet, or cut this or that, but most of them never do for any length time. Just do your thing. Later they may become curious again. Then you can tell them more and for...

I like to say that the pleasure has to be there before, during, and after eating. This helps in realizing that we might want to eat a lot more of food because it tastes good, but that will not lead to pleasure later. I think the guilt over delicious food is that we know we often kept eating it just ...

No eating routine that doesn't supply enough pleasure for the payoff is going to last. Which is not to say we can't sometimes find pleasure in something that we didn't think we could, but we have to find it out.
