Phatsister Needs Motivation! Suggestions??

You would think that carrying around way too much weight and not having anything to wear would be motivation enough, but I am having such a hard time. I make up way too many excuses and let myself indulge in the silliest stuff. I need help!! What have you done to motivate yourselves??

I'm not proud to be the fat sister in my family but I will be proud to be the phat sister. I don't normally use the term phat but I found it fitting. Today was not so good. I need a good kick in the pants by a weight loss coach! LOL

You sound like me. I also caved in a few times this past week. I had a snack when I wasn't hungry and when I knew the day did not begin with an S and also took Friday to be a free day. But we are still here and back to the plan so just don't give up!! You will do great.

Has anyone used Curves??

Just wondering if anyone has used Curves and if it has been successful? I really need to add some fitness to my plan and Curves is the closest gym? I almost joined a few years ago but I am undecided in if it really challenges and produces results. Anyone used Curves?

Thank you for each of your replies. I don't understand what everyone means by the green squares and red squares?? Where are they?? I understand that green is good and red is not but where do you keep track of these? I had asked before but has anyone tried Curves and found it helpful in getting fit??...

The Phatsister Returns...

So I read the posts each day just didn't post my own. I had a pretty good first week. Weekend not so good and had a struggle getting back to the plan today but still down a pound. Not too bad. I wish there were a magical formula that worked overnight. Wish me luck this week as I continue to No S Wee...

You didn't miss much on Biggest Loser and the Grand Canyon. You can go to NBC.com and watch the shows though. I am for the couple who got to go home to their 3 boys as a prize. Can't think of their names but hers might be Michelle. I wish I could go to the Biggest Loser for like 2 or 3 weeks and I w...

Hello again!! Keep up the good work. I went and bought some Extra gum last night b/c I too love snacking at night. It is sad but I used to plan my evening on what I was going to watch and what I would eat. It was like a reward. It is a daily struggle not to go and get something to eat b/c it would b...

My sister has even gone as far as to put on her Instant Messenger, Big Sister as in age not size. How mean can you get? She has 2 girls the exact ages...

The Phatsister continues...Day 3

Day 3 was pretty good. I am having a hard time breaking the habit of eating just because. Today I stuck to my 3 meals and drinking lots of water. I have seen a very small change on the scale but it is probably just fluctuations. I gave up a lot of sweet tea so that probably helps too. I didn't cheat...

Keep up the good work!! It sounds like you have pretty good eating habits. I feel the urge to get something just because not because I am hungry. That is the hardest part for me. I have been addicted to sweet tea too and I allow 1 glass with breakfast to avoid the caffeine withdrawls. LOL. I hope th...

The Phatsister and Day 2

Day 2 was a little harder. I caved to some Cheezits. But I did walk a whole mile today which doesn't happen often. Everything else went pretty well. I am positive in my future.

Day 1 No S's

Today went pretty well for the first day. There were times when I said oh, I'll go ahead and eat it and start again tomorrow but starting again tomorrow never happens. I resisted a choc. cupcake, drinking sweet tea, and cookies. Pretty good for Ms. Snacky. I hope that it gets easier each day and pre...

Thanks for all of the postivie and encouraging comments posted. I resisted my old habits several times throughout today, Day 1. I even had a neighbor comment "what world are you dieting on?" She didn't mean for it to hurt but after hearing those type of comments I am out to prove myself to her and t...

I'm a Beginner with a LONG way to go....

So I am starting out on the NO S diet first thing tomorrow. I have been struggling with my weight since I have become a Mommy. 6 years and 2 beautiful babies later I weigh as much as I did the day my first baby was born. That is unexcusable. I am hoping to lose at least 35 lbs. by next August. I can...
