Back... sort of

Well, post funeral and post vacation, and I am in no mood to No-s. that's the truth. I just read Richard's posts, and boy! what an encouragement. (Great spelling too for a 4th grader :D ). Have to get going again- want to start doing the urban ranger thing. Pushing about 60lbs should make it good ex...

Thanks, Reinhard.

You're a 'MA chap' and so its a little closer to home this time, right?

There's a time for everything under the sun...... and the sillies, well, they lighten the load.

Thank you 'Sue & Deb for your kind words.

We're all sad- he was such a great young person. Right now, there's still that flicker of hope that it was a mistake... not quite real. The funeral will bring closure if nothing else.

Thanks again.

Rainy days and mondays........

I can't even remember what I've been doing since my last post. I've tried to be good, and generally, I have been. Thanks 'Sue for the encouragement. I tried to go a little easier on the weekend, mainly n-day mentality, except that I had dessert. :) This seemed to help me when Monday came. So ...

Morning, It IS easier to do it with someone. There's a lot to be said for accountability. Anyway, I've had a couple of days where I failed at one meal or the other. Yesterday was lunch. Crudité does not cut it!!!! So when I got home, I was famished, and had a peanut butter sandwich, and then my husb...

Anyway, I had an excellent week last week, and hoped to continue in the vein this week. Yesterday wasn't bad until last night- We went swimming,a nd wer...

Chippie's check-in with a question....

If anyone sees this, I have a question: Are Mondays an off day (as in tough carrying through to the next meal) after s-ing on the weekend? I weighed in before the weekend, and registered a 5lb loss. Bought some Walker's English toffee with brazil nuts last Tuesday and saved it for the weekend. I act...

Welcome Panglesue.

My husband and I have been doing this for a month and half or so, and some days are good and some days are bad, but this no-s'ing DOES work.

Take care,
Chippie

Chippie's check-in

I couldn't have said it better than : "(this week) was a success with maybe a bit of minor fudging". I'll have to go back a couple of days to see who said that. The minor fudging wasn't anything serious, but I seem to be overcoming the worst part (lets not get too cocky  ) which has been the s...

From here....

Thanks for the encouragement, Carolejo. I suppose as much as I don't want to do ' thediets' anymore, deep down inside, I wish someone would say this is exactly how to do it. I joked with my husband earlier, that I was rereading the NO S homepage, looking for a loophole! For the most part, No ...

From here to ......21?

The days since 21 have been marked by the intense desire to (ssshhhh) cheat. And so here I sit, day 6 of round two, chewing gum and writing this update instead of wolfing down the glazed munchkin that was calling my name. Dinner time seems an age away (and we eat early!). Funny, its easier on...

Chippie's daily check-in

Yesterday was a SUCCESS.

Good news for those short on sleep. Did anyone else know that this diet also improves the quality/quantity of sleep? Hub and I now go to bed earlier to avoid temptation!!

Thanks for the encouragement, Deb! There are those moments, mostly just before lunch and in the stretch before supper when self-control is wobbly at best. My snacking, apart from keeping my 3 and 1.5 year old girls company , has always been driven by hypoglycemia. Good snacks morphed into the worst ...

Day 6 of the No S for us. Hubby and I are doing it together. Helps to have a buddy. Nearly passed out before lunch on Day3.... cereal and tea for breakfast were not going to cut it, I suppose. Stomach obviously not shrunken yet. :? Patience is a virtue and all that..... All in all, not going too bad...

My first post

I have never posted on anything, so really clueless. However, hubby and I started around lunch-time last wednesday, the 8th Feb. We've tried all the other stuff, it all comes back. :( We're tired of all the 'do not' lists.... can it be healthy? of course gaining isn't healthy either..... I googled t...
