No Sweets is extremely simple for me on N days. I'd already built that habit. I'd have to say no snacks. On work days, I already had the habit of small breakfast then reasonable lunch with nothing in between. But I'm always ravenously hungry by the time I get home (usually stop at the gym on the way...

Thanks! I'll check that out. I'm sure I've had more than enough to classify myself as problematic in the past. On the other hand, I can, and do, go long stretches without any. Also, for a long time now I've had zero on weekdays without really much of a problem at all. Probably for the last, say, 5 y...

Thank you for all of the advice. I have thought about 4 being harder than 2 due to the loss of inhibitions with each drink. I will see how this plays out.

Just an idea... why not try two fairly large glasses instead of switching to four drinks on the weekend.. Make them Cathedral worthy sized.. Just thinking that if you're a serious beer binger, it might be best if you try to carry this one habit through the weekend?? If this doesn't sound right to y...

I hear ya. A half of a bag of Doritos is probably equally bad for you no matter when you eat it :)

Cathedral Glass Ceiling

I'm back on the No S diet after two false starts. I think both times I did pretty well with compliance on N days, but proceeded to go hog wild on S days. The biggest culprit, methinks, was WAY too many beers. Often, these beers then led to chips, cookies, and other delights before bed time (I hear t...

I rarely snack but when I do I try to pick some healthy food. Celery, carrots, cucumbers and also plain popcorn lately. The other day I saw a TV show where they talk about all sorts of food related subjects and they did a bit on pop corn, comparing the different kinds, all that. Plain air popped is...

Just to reply to myself, I'm tracking progress on a google spreadsheet for kicks. I actually like the habitcal idea a lot, and basically copied its simplicity since I'm a geek and want to make some simple charts and graphs. I'm counting days like today with borderline sized plates as green successes...

New to No S'ing

Hello, everyone. I somehow stumbled upon the No S diet book on Amazon a couple weeks ago, skimmed the web site, read some forum, bought the book, and started with this way of eating on Feb 18. I'd lost a lot of weight maybe 8 or so years back following a low carb approach. Kept it off for, say, 4 ye...
