I WILL be saying no to any further Halloween candy. We don't celebrate Halloween but my MIL will bring us alot of candy for the kids so they are not "deprived." I divided them up for my husband and children (not for me) and took a few pieces of my favorites to eat that S day, hoping that would satis...

I found that doing Vanilla no S and having wild weekends still caused me to lose a little weight each week. The problem is that it is becoming harder and harder to face Monday. I would plan for the S days by buying sweets by the ton, freezing those that needed it, then indulging on the weekend. The ...

Well, gang, I made the cake and everyone loved it, especially the birthday boy. 4 rounded Tbs is about 1/2 cup cocoa. The frosting, if using 3 cups of 10X sugar, only needed 3 TBS milk. The problem I had with the icing of the warm cake (as called for in the recipe) caused the frosting to melt and se...

This is also called Texas Sheet Cake.
One pound of confectioner's sugar is 3 1/2 cups unsifted. So 1/2 cup less is 3 cups as called for in the recipe.

My son's birthday is Friday. He loves chocolate cake but I'll probably put nuts on only half the cake incase I "ruin" it for him.

Friday nights are very hard for me, too. I usually grocery shop on Friday. My supermarket bakes these incredible donuts. In time you will desire to put a piece of fruit or salad on that plate and less of something else. And sometimes you'll want that something else (like potato chip...
