I had a very moderate weekend, which was good, and then a a completely off day yesterday. I snacked three times! I was not binging, at least, and completely aware of my choices to be off No-S, but it was a slip back into distrusting its rules. I'm back today, and planning on three meals today. Have ...

Having a bad body image day today, which is messing with my head. I have, however, stayed green. Breakfast: leftover pasta casserole (funny, when you cook for only two, how many times you get to re-enjoy the same dish!) Lunch: Raisin Bran with milk (kind of did lunch and breakfast backward today) Su...

Thanks for the support, both of you! Yesterday was a failure, and was totally preventable. I got home from being out with friends and heated up some leftovers from Wednesday's dinner, a plateful, no problem. I had enough cornbread still for today's breakfast, and told myself to leave it alone. Well,...

Another green day- I'm saying that now, at 8:11 p.m. my time, to set that truth in stone for the rest of the night! We ate supper late tonight, so that also should be a help. Breakfast: bowl of Raisin Bran w/ lowfat milk Lunch: leftover meatloaf with green beans and two slices of whole wheat toast S...

I can so much relate to the "yea, I'm free!" feeling once leaving WW. Even though I usually cook and eat in a fairly health-conscious manner anyway (reduced-fat ingredients, etc.), it's so nice to welcome cheese, beer, etc. back into your diet without feeling like a renegade or a failure. I too stru...

Thanks for the welcome, Tofu Queen! I, too, am a former WW-er (in fact, I have a few products in my kitchen still that I would not buy if not on WW!) and cannot sustain that particular way of eating. Today has gone well and will be a green :D Breakfast - 2 Vitatop bran muffins (a leftover WW-related...

emd1212's No-S check-in
Hey, any and all readers! My name is Liz, and as an on-and-off again No-Ser (since January 2009), I'm committing to a daily check-in to help keep me on track. I've been bad in the past at sticking with HabitCal or a check-in, but planning to stick with it this time. I'm not somebody who needs to los...

So, yesterday was a RED eating-wise. I was starving in the afternoon, most likely because my lunch wasn't quite big enough, and snacked (nearly binged) on two slices of cheese and then a bunch of raisins straight out of the container (a big canister, not a little box!) just before I cooked supper fo...

Since I know, deep down, that I need to get a little more structured wit my eating, I have come to an important realization. No-S, if I follow it by eating whatever I want per plate for three meals a day, will help me maintain my weight, but if I really want to lose it, I need to concentrate on WHAT...

Well, had a glass ceiling slip-up at poker night last night. I drank 4 beers instead of stopping at two, and realized a bit too late that the beer I had brought was 8% alcohol, instead of the normal 5%. So, between that and drinking more than I have recently, I felt rough this morning. Serves me rig...

Thanks mama! You're right about using the word "failure." No matter what I call it, though, that red square on the Habitcal keeps me from doing a lot of things I shouldn't, which is paying off. Last night I was very tempted to go for a third beer after dinner, but decided I didn't want it bad enough...

I came to a conclusion this morning: I've really got to look out for little nibbles as I put together my plated meals; too often I've figured, "oh, this would fit on the plate anyway," but this is such a slippery slope. From now on, I'll have to count anything that I put in my mouth before it has be...

Thanks, Thalia, I think my husband loves the idea too :) Well, Day 3 of the re-commitment has begun, and I've decided to add a Glass Ceiling habit to my compliance goals, a 2 glass maximum for alcohol like Reinhard suggests. This is something that I'm intimidated by, because, though I don't drink mo...

Welcome! Sounds like you did great for your first day. As far as the juices go, if you find that you're having difficulty losing weight, you might try cutting back on the juice (since it does add calories) and drink more water or unsweetened tea instead. Or, you could dilute your juice with some wat...

Thanks for posting this...it's easy to not realize how often we eat when it's not actually food we're after, but distraction or comfort. I often find myself under stress or upset and finding myself heading for the kitchen, only to stop and think: "It's not mealtime, so no food. Actually, I'm not eve...

Hi! I don't seem to have PCOS, but I am having some fertility difficulties, and it's easy to turn to food due to the stress! At the same time, I want to lose a few pounds to be in the best shape for pregnancy. I just wanted to say good luck with No-S, and I do hope your will succeed in resolving you...

Day 2! I find that giving myself a "green" to start out with each day keeps me on plan better than waiting until the end of the day; I have to "plan to succeed". So far, so good today: Breakfast: two slices whole grain toast, one with a thin spread of peanut butter, the other with a thin smear of gr...

EMD's accountability check-in
Hey to everybody! I've been following No-S off and on since January, but am just now realizing that I really need to keep some kind of accountability besides HabitCal. I'm a 28 yr. old female, married for four years and owner of a yellow lab who is the sweetest creature alive. DH and I have been hop...
