Thanks! Congrats on your new baby! I’m doing better as of about week 20/21 – I’m currently in week 22. I still have random days where I felt like I was hit by a truck and basically just try to sleep it off as best as I can, which is not easy between full time work and then caring for my toddle...

Pregnancy #2 and NoS framework

Hi everyone! I haven’t posted in a good while. I recently started my second trimester with my second pregnancy. Our son will be two in May, so the kids will be two years and a few months apart. My husband and I are really excited! As far as food goes, up until recently it was really just abo...

I completely agree! I've told myself to stay away from other plans, too. It's just a matter of learning the hard way sometimes. I doubt shows like that would invite Reinhard since the plan is not flashy or exciting to the majority of our culture, sadly. The plan is the best out there if you ask me. ...

NoS and forget the rest

I've noticed that over the past year or so, I've been overcomplicating things and striving too much to find the perfect 'plan' within the NoS framework. It takes away mental energy that would be better spent on other things, plus playing too much with the plan results in more failures and just givin...

:D Good one. The past few days, I’ve been delaying my first meal to around 11 am, so I’m fasting for about 16 hours. It started more by chance; I am up very early due to my work schedule and needing to get myself and my 5 month old out the door on time to go to daycare and then work. I’ve noti...

Back to Vanilla NoS post pregnancy!

Starting about a year ago I had to modify NoS due to terrible nausea that I ended up having most of my pregnancy. Many of the healthful foods I normally love (ie: oatmeal, eggs, spinach) made me sick, unfortunately! I honestly felt sad about it since I wanted to eat those foods but it backfired when...

Beware: "Embrace snacking" campaign

I've been seeing these Special K "Embrace snacking" commercials and I just have to laugh. Basically, they show females sneaking "bad" foods like doughnuts and greasy chips, while rationalizing to themselves why it's okay. In comes Special K to save the day (sarcasm) with their supposedly healthy sub...

Yea, that is just silly if you ask me. NoS has helped me realize it's best to be skeptical/wary of anything extreme - life is a lot easier when you choose moderation...our culture is all about the quick fixes though!

Oprah episode - 20 years younger?

Long time NoSer, first time post for me. :) Did anyone catch yesterday's Oprah about looking and feeling 20 years younger? I couldn't help thinking about what my fellow NoSers would say. I watched part of it this morning and was glad I had read a recent NoS post about obsessing over eating healthful...

Anyone want a No S buddy?

Hello, All- I'm a 26 year old female who has been No Sing since July. I've taken some breaks (when I get impatient of course) but always realize this is the best way and come back. I have a history of cycling between restrictive eating and bingeing, so moderate eating is my goal. I would like to 'bu...
