New Research - Complexity matters when sticky with diets

Article here: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 085516.htm

Basically, the more complex people thing a diet is, the harder it is to stick with.

Not exactly an earth-shattering finding, but it would seem to be good news for No-S.

Well, I survived the weekend... it ended up being a bit more exciting than planned for. Our 2-year-old broke his foot Friday night (long story, it's just a buckle fracture, but he'll need a cast for a couple weeks), so he and I stayed at home all day Saturday, and missed the birthday party in the mo...

First week all green!

I just finished my first week of No-S and Shovelglove. All five weekdays have been green both programs. :D :D :D I've already lost 5 pounds, too! No-S hasn't been too difficult so far, although I haven't been super hungry due to having a cold this week. It seems like *not* snacking makes me less hun...

Just finished my workout for day #4 - it was tough to get thru all 14 minutes, but I made it (just barely). I wasn't as sore when I woke up this morning as I was yesterday, so I'm taking that as a good sign. I still had to take it pretty slow, though.

On my third day now, still all green. I did the full 14 minutes this morning, but I took it really slow. My biceps and shoulders are really feeling it, and the middle-right side of my back feels like it's done a lot of work (it doesn't feel bad, just tired). I'm think tomorrow I'm going to cut it ba...

I managed to do the full 14 minutes this morning - it was a little bit of a struggle (started getting pretty tired near the end), but I did OK, especially considering it was only 12 hours since my previous (first!) workout. I'm definitely feeling it, though - I had a hard time lifting my arms to bru...

Starting Shugging and No-S Today

I discovered this website completely by accident on Saturday, and it really struck a cord. I'm 27, 5'11, 235 lbs. Computer programmer with 3 kids, and pretty much out of shape. When I was 17, the summer before I started college I was around 220, and I lost a total of 55 pounds over a year and a half...
