Seriously Reinhart You need to get this information into a little, spritely book. You've got the beginning of the book on the website, could use testimonials from folks like me and Deb. A little nutrition background and some No S philosophy. This is your window of opportunity right now. People are s...

No S Update
Hi No S'ers: Just an update: I'm 2-1/2 weeks in and have lost 2-1/2 pounds, not a lot but in an effortless way. I've eaten real food, croissants twice for breakfast and even more-real food (chocolate cream pie and a French dip on Sat. and churros, yum) on S days. It's great. Discipline during the we...

I think a daily check-in thread would be great, but I didn't get the part about signing up. Re: No S. Last night my daughter, 13, and I had an impromptu dinner with another mom and her daughter (celebrating that the girls made their junior lifeguard trial swim—100 yards in 1 min., 55 secs.). Dessert...

Reporting In After 1st "S" Days
Hi there. I'm reporting in after my first S-day weekend. It was satisfying, but I actually ate more than normal. A cupcake, chocolate, movie popcorn, and some ice cream cake, but not over the top in portion sizes. I figure that I'll concentrate on establishing the habit of S, No S and then work fine...

Reinhard, What a charming and true reply. A strawberry tart with heavy cream (I confess I had to go to my Food Lovers Companion to decipher tarte aux fraises fraiches) sounds fabulous. You are right as I think about it. Usually I don't choose my treats, opportunity and inertia them for me. This week...

S Day Strategy
I'm finishing five days and it's been a breeze, mostly for me. I'm just heading into my first S days and am wondering if anyone has advice or a strategy they used. I plan to be extra vigilant the first three weeks, as is suggested here. I don't feel weak right now, but tempation has a way of swoopin...

Day 3 and Loving It
Hi. Just checking in on my third day, and so far, it's wonderful. There are a few times between meals when my body whines for food, but I'm in charge here. And I don't entertain the idea of snacking (except on an S day). Food I do eat tastes WONDERFUL. So much better, and I tend to plan meals a bit ...

Baby Steps toward New Habit
This is my first day, and I'm really excited too. I think Reinhardt has something big here. The whole idea of a No S habit resonated with me. I've been a calorie accountant, tried controlled gluttony via Atkins, et al, and just want to be moderate. It's the constant food decision-making that unbalan...
