I have been doing so well but I had a backward step today. I've just finished bingeing on sweet biscuits. The only excuse I have is that we had a family upset today - daughter lost her job and I'm feeling stressed. Is that an excuse? Anyway I'm determined not to let the failure get me down . Tomorro...

Today was successful but really really hard. I baked chocolate brownies for Christmas and they were calling to me from the freezer! I think I was tired and a bit bored and could think of nothing nicer than eating a tray full of brownies. I would have to eat them all or my husband would want to know ...

Another good day. I am finding this daily check in helpful. Not too sure why. Maybe it's because I know I'm planning on checking in at the end of the day so I feel I should stick to the plan. Anyway, whatever works I guess!

Another good day today. Just one problem. About an hour after each meal I start thinking about the next one. I'm not hungry but I am missing the rubbish I've been used to eating. Will this constant thinking of food eventually diminish?

Didn't binge over the weekend but wasn't all that careful either. I am finding it hard to remember that I am NOT on a diet but am trying to develop a new way of eating so that when I woke up this morning and my body was telling me that I over indulged it was hard not to feel guilty. Does everyone fe...

Another success today although at the moment all I can think about is my s day tomorrow and what I'm going to eat. How sad is that! I've been reading the posts and apparently s days are like safety valves. They encourage you to stick with n days knowing that a reward is coming - at least I think tha...

Good day today!

Thanks for your replies. Not sure if this is where I continue my daily checking in. I assume someone will tell me if I get it wrong. Anyway, had a good day today. I think it's because I ate healthily yesterday and consequently had a really good nights sleep which made my battle against hunger quite ...

Portion size

This is interesting and something I'm going to try. I have just returned to Nos after 12 months of more fad diets and yo yo ing - I wanted quicker results. I'm so mad with myself as bingeing became a habit. This idea of just eating a normal sized plate of food even when really hungry never occurred ...

Hi Reinhard,
All is fine. As Australia is quite a few hours ahead of the States when I tried to load my calendar in the morning of Feb 1st it was still Jan 31st where you are. When I tried again that night there it was! I figure the time difference was the reason. Thanks for getting back to me.

Tweaking Nos

I've been doing Nos for 2 and a half months and have been really successful regarding following the rules. Have had no failure days and only one extra S day all up. However my weekend S days are a little out of control and I tend to eat anything and everything just because I can. By Sunday night I a...

First weigh-in. Aaaagh!!!!

Have been doing Nos for one month. Weighed myself for the first time yesterday. I have gained 1.4 kg. Really depressing but have been having an endless conversation with myself about the fact that I am feeling healthier and less focused on food all the time. I had no failures and only one extra S da...

Thankyou so much! You're right I am eating less than I was a month ago. Its just that I've been a yo yo dieter for decades and its taking me some time to realise that being perfect just doesn't work. Over eating and guilt on S days

I have been doing Nos for three weeks and have been successful at sticking at it. However I dont like S days. I tend to overdo it and then be overwhelmed with guilt. Its a relief to get back to Nos days where Im in perfect control. Does anyone else feel like this?
