I've lost 30 pounds on NoS over about 8 months and hit my target weight of 205 lbs and one pants size smaller. Now I'm 195 and and two pants sizes smaller (34" waist) which I haven't bought since at least high school. I switched from soft drinks to tea. A restaurant meal is two plates worth of food....

I think people might be missing a bit of importance of S-Days. In a way, Being Stupid might just be what S-Days are all about. "UUGHGHHGHGH too much cookie dough.... Feel like death..." is a GREAT motivator to keep it clean on N-Days. How much easier can an N-Day get, when you can say to yourself "D...

Very heart wrenching reading here.. Obviously you're emotionally distraught over your weight and running at a very high tenor. I know it's very difficult to retrain your mental and physical reactions when you're in a calm state... but also very hard to get calm when you're having such a hard time! I...

From my fathers high school chemistry teacher, a little mantra. (Side note: he also said, if you were ever scared of a chemical, just don't open it. Deal with panic issues first, then do dangerous things) Onward to the issue at hand.. "What is the worst thing that could possibly happen...? The destr...

pressure cookers and crock pots are wonderful tools for low work cooking, and I use them all. Another option is High Touch cooking. Stir fry with an actual wok. Perhaps with an LP wok burner ( I love mine in the summer. Hot enough that no matter what you toss in you can still "fry" instead of windin...

Just to restate some ideas... They are S Days. It's impossible to be having a tough time with them. You're allowed to have snacks and sweets and seconds as you want them. Therefore, if you feel like you're having a problem, it's a "holdover" issue... From another diet, or idea about what you should ...

I do the "Great Salutation" Vinyasa series of yoga moves, twice on each side. Then do it once per side after work out. I thought of busting a door open too! But not "pop the doorknob!" which is kinda catchy. I like it :) I tried doing it without the step, just swinging back and forth at the hips, but I found it put too much strain on the knees and I got some pain during the day after doing it. With the step it's a l...

I'm glad you liked it! I didn't want to seem like I was overstepping, since I haven't been shugging that long, but I simply LOVE doing that move. Vigorous shugging tends to engage the core alot, but that REALLY targets the abs. And like other shovel glove moves, you can very the stress by how far aw...

Since you didn't feel it in your abs, I would hazard a guess that you weren't employing them. While doing it slowly, make a concious effort to have your abs tightened and your tailboned tucked slightly in, along with bending your knees. Keep your body erect, don't be leaning over at the waist. If yo...
