Re: 5:2 diet (not really a NoS question)
Hope it's ok to ask here. I have a question on the 5:2 diet and was thinking that perhaps someone here has tried it before. It's different to the NoS, basically you eat whatever you like for 5 days, and instead of two S days, you actually fast for two days (500 calories for women). Lots of positive...

This was working yesterday :-) I typically ask for 2 months. I've been asking for tableview of august and september. That stopped working. I just see the first line ( Everyday systems link through logout link) As best as I can work out, if my request doesn't end with september, it works. For example...

Re: Fighting off the urge to snack
Have any of you ever had to avoid the kitchen after dinner out of fear of losing control? Rarely. Only every day :) I find it helpful to sit and breathe. And understand that it's my choice to overeat or not. And if I overeat then I own the consequences, namely feeling stuffed and lousy in the morni...

Re: 5:2 diet (not really a NoS question)
basically you eat whatever you like for 5 days, and instead of two S days, you actually fast for two days (500 calories for women). My problem is overeating, so eating whatever I like for 5 days didn't work. The premise is that you'll eat 'normally' for 5 days and then the calorie deficit on 2 days...

my eating is so restricted and so healthy anyway, surely a handful of raw almonds cannot really be a problem? But of course it doesn't stop with the almonds. I call those "Dam busters". Who says exercise doesn't help weight loss. Olympic swimming champion Michael Phelps worked out six daily hours of hard exercise which allowed him to eat 12,000 calories a day and maintain a svelte physique. no 'new' messages with mac mavericks and safari?
Hi All,
I've noticed now that I've upgraded my mac to Mavericks, and when checking the no s diet board with safari, I never see any orange 'new' messages. Anyone else seeing that?
I may try another browser as time permits to see if it's specific to safari.

Why I appreciate gentle hunger
I appreciate gentle hunger because: - it lets me know I'm probably not overeating. - it makes the next meal taste so much better. - it reminds me that the "any hunger is bad, so snack snack snack" thinking is silly. - it reminds me that I used to be afraid of hunger, but now I welcome it, and that's...

I quit daily weighing today. How often do you weigh?
It's quite scary. But I'm wondering, how often do you weigh yourself? Once a week? Once a month? Never?
It feels like giving up some control. But my intent is to have my N days become more of the focus instead of the daily random gain/loss rollercoaster.
