Joasia, I also read herbgirls blog. 20 bites is unlikely to be a whole plate in my house. I think the idea is you eat sooooooo slowly that your stomach has time to feel full before you have eaten too many calories.

your post seems balanced.... as in, you're not beating yourself up for eating more than your body needed on Saturday. It's totally normal, and I'm sure your body will "learn" that it doesn't like that feeling. Some people say that takes years to really body-learn that.

NoS has made me realize that I just eat too many snacks and serve myself up too many "seconds". It must be true, because I am slowly losing weight simply by cutting out food apart from mealtimes. So I'm right there with you, grothkat!

Hi there. I started with a goal to lose 12 pounds. I am down about 4 after 3 months. I am very pleased at this slow rate of loss (prevents yo-yoing, in my opinion) but my friends tease me and call me "the patient dieter". I just smile.
