Re: Pinkhippies daily check in

Pinkie, have you heard of this crazy bike called the C.A.R.O.L.? https://carolfitai.com/workouts It supposedly gets you done in 8 minutes, and calibrates to your fitness level. Here's a quick video of the protocol: https://youtu.be/J6jKEdTfHeY If I were into biking, I'd be intrigued. It's probably r...

Re: automated eating tracker

I had a great day yesterday! The only bad thing is I tweaked my sacroiliac joint (while lifting a log) and during the night, the pain actually interrupted my sleep (that has never happened to me before, except maybe a migraine or something). This morning I'm feeling a bit better but being careful. F...

Gardening day is my favourite day of the week and my bubble of children absolutely love it. They got filthy though; sending home dirty, happy, tired children made me feel like I'd done my job well today!
Lovely! :D

Good for you about packing the breakfast! In the past year or two, I've begun packing my yogurt w/berries when I'll be out and about during the lunch hour. I can eat it anywhere and have done so MANY times when everyone else in the car is snarfling McDonald's. I've even brought and eaten it at facul...

Great attitude. It's no big deal - we are in this for the long haul and one day is but a blip! :-)

I do like eating early - VERY early indeed. Like 4pm early. Then if I'm hungry later (which usually I'm not), I'll have a cup of decaf w/cream while reading.

Hi Jen!

Congrats on all of your new endeavors - different job that gives you time for your political aspirations, and the yoga, and the "noticing" the sensations in your body.

You sound really good, despite the craziness of life. So glad to see you on the boards!

Pinkie - until we had HappyHerder, I really didn't know there were dogs that didn't like the car! But I realize now that there are a lot of dogs that would rather have multiple vet procedures done than go in a car. The mother-in-law. Wow! Well, perhaps you can take advantage of this situation to get out of the house for a walk by yourself every day (or maybe just bring the baby if the baby is easy in the stroller). Better yet, maybe you can take a nap with the baby every day while your mother-in-law watches th...

Someday you'll sleep enough - but yeah, it's a rough road in those baby years! No easy solution but prioritizing your sleep...
