At first I seemed to be constantly opening the fridge and cupboards just to have a look LOL. I was hungry at first, but that eased after a few days. I noticed it c...

Re: Did anybody see the Discovery Health Channel Obesity Sho

3) They stated that obese people need to eat little calories to maintain their large size. If they gain they have to eat a lot of calories, but to maintain they don't have to eat that much. I think it was something like 2,500 calories for a 200 pound person to maintain. This seems wrong. And you ha...

I'm a daily weigher as I like to monitor my weight daly in a spreadsheet.

My daily variation is + or -2 pounds over 6 weeks and there does not seem to much reason the variations. The gains and loses do not seem to bear much relation to the food consumption the previous day or the amount of exercise.

I had the evening permasnack problem. Sweets were not really a problem. I like them, but they were usually in moderation at the weekend. I would say to myself just one will be OK but, I could never just stop at one though, once I got the first taste I couldn't stop myself having more and more until ...

My wife knows "I am being careful", but she still has not noticed my weight lose. It reminds me of this scene from House: Dr. Gregory House: Unfortunately, you have a deeper problem. Your wife is having an affair. Orange patient: What? Dr. Gregory House: You're *orange*, you moron. And it's one thin...

I am a male aged 52, height 5ft 9 and have been trying to lose some weight for a while following my own diet, it is similar to the No s in some ways, 3 meals a day during the week with a low-fat bias, no snacks and seconds and no alcohol. Weekends, some alcohol, some seconds, maybe a snack in the ev...
