Ladybird and Sinnie, thanks for the comments. The weekend went well and it wasn’t anything off the rails, but by Sunday night I was ready to get back to the steadiness of N days. I was thinking about the times that I’ve gained weight in the past (never being more than 10 lbs over my current weight, ...

I took a break from No S for a while and like many others before me, I am coming back to it. I spent some time calorie counting. 😫 I did lose some weight but definitely not as much as I had hoped or planned for. Plugging along with No S and it’s going well. The funny thing about No S is that when it is going well, there is very little to report. I’m thankful for the template of No S that brings me back to normal with food.

I was doing No S for a bit during the holidays and then I went off the rails with more restriction. When I start having to short change myself on any of those things I quickly get overwhelmed & tend to turn to food & drinks to cope. This is so relatable! Thanks everyone! One thing I realized right away was how much food was being offered to us and how SEDENTARY we were all being for those three days. It just didn't make sense. But the thing is, I can count on it that I wouldn't have realized that unless I had No S. When morning snack was offered, al...

I was gone for 3 days this week for a work conference. I was not sure how I was going to pull off No S during that time, but I did it! The schedule for eating was as follows: 7-8 AM: Breakfast buffet 10:30 AM: Snack 12:15 PM: Lunch buffet 2:30 PM: Snack 6:00 PM: Supper buffet I didn't bring any food...

I was going to try to check in daily, but the wonderful thing about the No-S diet is that it just goes along and becomes routine so easily. Love to hear this! I was having a similar thought. I was also thinking this forum would be a lot busier if this way of life was a challenge. But it really all ...

Just checking in! We had a busy day yesterday, which included the circus, eating out with my son and husband, shopping, and going out with a group of friends for supper. I had some snacky food at the circus, had some chocolate in the afternoon, and had 3 beers in the evening. I am thinking today wil...

Thanks for the support and kind words! Linda, I really do feel a bit of relief. The day didn't break me and I'm just so thankful my reaction was kindness and not anger towards myself. To be honest I was very concerned how I would react when I no longer had a "perfect" habitcal, since I am a recoveri...

It was going to happen sooner or later, and it happened today! My first RED day. I am proud of how I am not shaming/degrading myself with negative self-talk. I am marking it and moving on! I was at a conference all day, and the lunch was served to us. They had chicken fettuccine, a bread stick, and ...

In my first post I committed to taking measurements today. March 21 was my first full day, so here I am, April 21! March 21 - April 21 Height: 5'6" Weight: 141.2 lbs - 138 (-3.2) Waist: 26.75" - 26 .25 (-.5 inch) Hips: 37.25" - 37"! Body fat: 27% - not sure I am thrilled with these results. As I men...

Sorry to hear you had that response, but it is a normal response from your body if you skip meals. Like oolala53, I had the same reaction. No S is the middle way, restricting is one extreme and over eating is the other. Would it help if you committed to 3 meals a day for 5 days, and see how you feel?

Congrats on sticking to the habit and maintaining! That is inspiration for someone like me, who is about a month into No S. enough to feel and look thin, strong, and don't worry anymore about diet and exercise I especially like the "don't worry" in this quote! Great job and thanks for sharing your e...

Strength training is awesome! I second ironchef's suggestion of your DH seeing a trainer for form and maybe even a workout schedule. I am so thankful that I sought out help with kettlebells. I was doing tons of swings several times a week, and now my coach is having me do very low volume with heavie...

Oh Linda, your elliptical workouts just got a whole lot better!!! You will not be able to get off that machine once you get started with podcasts. If you have a specific interest/hobby, you can search in iTunes or Stitcher to find ones that interest you. I don't know what I'd do without my podcasts!
