Friday was GREEN and the weekend was a little out of control where sweets are concerned. Also I've started to feel those feelings of "you don't have to be so strict, you need to enjoy your life" that tend to throw me off track. Not sure what to do about that right now, but today's meals are worked o...

There's no shame in adding one "NoS" at a time, if that works for you. Start with the one that's easiest, and build on it. For example, spend a few weeks establishing the habit of not going back for seconds. After that is established, start working on eliminating sweets, then snacks. Or in whatever ...

So I'm calling yesterday a planned S evening. I stuck with NoS for the entire day up until the cruise. They had sandwiches, salads, fruit, and cookies. I don't think a piece of pizza is as bad as some people like to make it out to be. I live in New York and even one of our gigantic cheese slices is only about 400-450 calories, so that plus some strawberries is not an unreasonable lunch! As long as it keeps you full til dinner and makes you feel sat...

Good morning Emmama and kaalii! Yesterday was a success, no snacking and no sweets! (I don't generally go back for seconds anyway so that part has been easier.) I did have a little stomach growling around 11:30 but I made another cup of coffee and that helped me hold off until lunch. Today is basica...

I'm not a nutritionist or a doctor, but I am the mom of a 14 year old and I've watched him go through phases of chunking up and then growing several inches to thin out. My opinion is that putting harsh restrictions on him now will indeed make those kinds of foods way too desirable, leading him to ea...

My meals have to be fast. I'm always scrambling to get one teen or the other somewhere, and my husband is always working so it's down to me. I'm rarely organized enough to assemble a crock pot meal in the morning before work so I stick with my version of "fast food" LOL. Family favorites that genera...

My first No S Monday, my first No S full week. I'm ready! I did go a little overboard on the Saturday, eating when I wasn't even hungry and paying very close attention to how I felt afterward...kind of sick, bloated, not "satisfied" just full. Yesterday was much better, had a dinner party with frien...

My first No S weekend, wonder if I'll pig out or show some restraint? Fridays I usually get pizza for the kids; last week because I was low-carbing it I got myself a salad and some chicken marsala, which gave me some weekend leftovers. I think that's going to be tonight's plan too, and I'm going to ...

Back in the day when I was doing My Fitness Pal, I used a weight tracker app (Happy Scale? Something like that.) that would show you your overall trend rather than making you focus on that one day's weight. The problem was, it showed better results if you weighed every day. And I was the type that g...

Oh how I lied. I'll start my check in today. So last night we had hamburgers for dinner--I skipped the bun so I could have some potato chips--so we have some nice leftovers. Breakfast: "cheeseburger omelet" with leftover hamburger, eggs, mushrooms, spinach, and muenster cheese Lunch: "cheeseburger s...

Knitapeace's Daily Check-In
Hi everyone, I'm Cindy and I'm new here as of 2 days ago and I think I'd like to do a daily check in. Seems like there are a lot of supportive people on the boards, I'd like to be one too! I'm 47, 5'10", female (married, working mom of 2 teenagers, Long Island NY) and I went from 212 to 165 about 2 ...

Thank you for the welcomes! I added my little green man to my first post. I'm calling yesterday a success even though I did have to eat a few almonds between lunch and dinner. I have an embarrassing issue in that no matter how well or often I eat, my stomach always growls REALLY loudly in between me...

Hi everyone, I'm new and didn't see an "intros" thread so I figured I'd just jump in here if that's OK. I lost about 47 pounds running and counting calories a few years back. Running eventually hurt my back so I traded it for HIIT and strength training (Fitness Blender), gradually stopped logging my...
