Hang in there, Starla. Just recommit to the habits, as BrightAngel says. You have come soooo far. If you can cling on through this bit, I just know you will come out the other end. Went for another walk today. I think yesterday's and today's walks have actually helped the bursitis. I'm not nearly as stiff today. I'm sure if I also lose weight around my hips, that will have to help it too, and the best way I know to do that is by walking. The exercise also does my head the worl...

Moderate S days...
I know that I have read occasionally that people have found relief from wild S days because, over time, their N day habits have influenced their S days... For me, I think it might be the opposite. As some of you know, this is the third time for me on NoS. I know that it works really well (having los...

Bright angel, I agree with your suggestion - it's a good one. KCCC - that soooo doesn't sound like you. :-) I've been away from the boards for about 7 months, and it has been surprising to come back and read these threads that contain so much disagreement and tension. Not that it was unknown on this...

Thanks, Debs, it was more letting stress get the better of me again. We didn't spend all our time in China but had to fly back and forth. My elderly mother became very ill and we came home and helped find a nursing home for her as she now needs permanent care, but then had to fly back to china for w...

strees and repeating bad habits
I found this article on another website related to eating better. It's recounts a scientific study that shows rats get stuck in repetetive habits when they're stressed and lose their ability to make clear decisions. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/18/science/18angier.html?_r=2&emc=eta1 Thought others...

HI Debs, So nice to see you are still here - and some of the other old names - KCC, Wosness, Janie, etc. Well done with sticking with NoS even though it sounds like you have had a trying time of it lately. I fell off the wagon in China (we were there for some months) but am keen to get back to some ...

Funfuture Take 2
Well, am back from China - a great trip, but NoS went out the window. I'm 5kgs heavier than when I left (but not back to my starting weight - a small comfort!) So it's back to NoS starting tomorrow (Monday) and regular exercise. I read through my old posts. It was good having all that material to re...

Am still settling back down to NoS, but am basically happy with how this week has been going. I realised tonight that I've been on a downhill run with NoS ever since people complimented me back in August on my new shape (after 8 months of NoSing). I seem to have been self sabotaging ever since. I am...
